This offers a far better resolution and picture than playing a DVD through an interlaced video screen from a standard CRT set. Slim and stylish, the E20E221 comes with a stand but can also be wall-mounted for even more counter-top space saving (VESA 100mm wall mount compliant). It has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner and it's capable of displaying high definition TV signals with an optional receiver. It features an 800 x 600 resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, and PC monitor capability. It also features a wide 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, fast 16 ms (millisecond) response time, brightness rating of 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter, and 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)

An adaptive 4H comb filter allows improved Y/C separation, helping to clean up image outlines and eliminate extraneous colors. The 3:2 pulldown cinema video processing feature detects and compensates film--which is shot at 24 frames per second (fps) compared with video's 30 fps rate--to video for a smooth theater-like experience at home. Other TV features include picture-in-picture (PiP) capability, V-Chip parental control, and sleep timer.
