Awesome!

These bars are not only VERY tasty, but they are enough to fill you up in place of a meal with only 270 calories. I eat one for breakfast every morning with my coffee before working out. My kids even love them. I would highly, highly, highly recommend them.
Builders' Bars -- Delicious! 2008-07-25
These are really good for you (wholesome ingredients), filling and nutritious enough to replace a meal, delicious (REALLY tasty), and reasonably priced (especially when bought by the box). The only thing I don't like, which may be a function of shipping, is that the coating is a bit crumbly -- so be careful if you're eating a bar in the car!
getting closer "zone-wise"

Love these....I buy the regular clif bars as a treat occassionally, but the carbs are so out of wack with the protein (should be close to the same number of grams to be considered "zone friendly"). So for regular lunching/munching, I usually use Pure Protein Bars.
While these builder bars are still pretty carb heavy, with 20 grams of protein, they are closing the gap. So the sugar crash isn't as bad, and I feel satisfied for much longer.
Now if they'd just get rid of the coating, maybe we'd get closer yet! Oh, and get competitive on the pricing!
Best protein bars I've ever tasted 2008-04-02
I'd eaten Protein Power Bars for years as a marathoner, coolled on them once they took their Double Fudge flavor off the market. Since I'm pregnant I wanted to up my protein but I wanted to do so in a nutritionally sound way (ie I wanted to avoid the high fructose corn syrup prevalent in so many bars including Power Bars). I bought a box of these on a whim, not expecting much taste-wise since they're organic. Surprise! They're great. Not overly sweet, wonderful mint taste, fills you up, does not give you the "sugar high and crash" of some energy bars. I'd highly recommend these.

I love these bars. The only thing is, I was buying them at Safeway for 1.25 ea. and so I have to wait to order them from Amazon until they are at the same price with free shipping.

vegetarian protein bars 2007-11-30
These are super tasting even for non veggies. My kids LOVE them and do not realize they are healthy. Mint is my favorite flavor!
Definitely one of the best tasting protein bars available... 2007-11-28
Plain and simple, these Builder's Bars are one of the best tasting protein bars you can get. They are crispy and chewy at the same time and they aren't super sweet like a candy bar. And at 2.4 ounces a piece they are large enough and filling enough to be a meal replacement.
And the one thing that I really like is that when I read the ingredients, I actually know what the stuff is! Nothing weird or unnatural, just real ingredients!
Out of the four flavors available (Chocolate Mint, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Cookies `n Cream) I prefer the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter, mainly because they taste even less like a protein bar. I'm not saying the plain Chocolate and Cookies 'n Cream are bad tasting, just that I prefer the taste of the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter ones (they are all really tasty).
These are just awesome, 100% natural, high protein, real ingredients, and they taste great! I just love them!

Side note:
Do not buy these expired (like on eBay or in-store)! Since these bars do not contain any preservatives they can loose their freshness and vitamin potency quickly and can develop a simple bread mold. It is recommended that they be eaten within a month of their sell by date (they are guaranteed to be fresh one month passed the sell by date printed on the wrapper).
Great Taste and 20 Grams of Protein 2007-05-18
Let me begin by saying I hate protein bars. I ate them for a period of a year for their convenience and quit after realizing they were thoroughly disgusting. Then about seven years later I was getting a physical, which required I fast, and I wanted something to eat when I was finished so on a whim I bought a Builder's Bar in Peanut Butter flavor (since I love peanut butter) and this bar, contrary to dozens of others I tried, won me over with its taste and texture. I'm hooked. As a meal replacement, I'd recommend adding some carrots and raw bell peppers and maybe an apple to get enough bulk to truly fill you up.
Mint is the best flavor of Builderbars 2007-03-29
Very delicious. Less of an aftertaste than the peanut and chocolate flavored. If you like the flavor of mint chocolate chip ice cream, you will probably like these.
