Editorial Review
Power surges and lightning strikes are not the only things that can damage your electronic equipment. Simply switching appliances on and off can create electrical imbalances that cause cumulative, permanent damage to your computers, peripherals, and electronic equipment. The Belkin Travel Surge Protector safeguards your valuable equipment from these power surges while you travel and features a hidden swivel plug that folds away for compact and snag-free storage. It will also provide complete data line protection through the telephone RJ11 and network/broadband Ethernet RJ45 combo jack. Belkin offers your premiere solution for clean, safe power, with the industry's best in construction, ratings, and safety standards.

Pretty simple, I guess. 2008-07-17
It does what it's supposed to do, I suppose. The two plugs are just enough for my laptop and a friend's (if we need to split a plug). I feel awkward using it in the library but I'd rather not ruin my laptop... I have also used the led on the front to find grounded outlets in my apt... apparently not all of them are... but it does what its supposed to for minimal cost...

Love the portability. 2008-07-10
I purchased this surge protector shortly after buying a laptop. I wanted some way to protect my computer when I was away from home, and I love the idea of the fold down plug. I also like the indicator lights. This surge protector has two outlets, so I can also use it for another device at the same time.

More than a Travel Surge Protector 2008-06-28
I'm finding this product to be more useful that I first expected. My intent was to use this only when I travel. But now I find that I use it mostly around the house as a dedicated surge protector for my laptop. I just leave it connected to my power supply and go from room to room, protected in any outlet I use. The Belkin even let me know that some of my outlets aren't grounded! Good to know!

Good Product 2008-05-30
So, this is actually a good buy! I tried a lesser version of a "travel surge protector" from Radio Shack but it cost more (18.99 on sale mind you) and it was like double the size with ONE outlet. =( So I took a risk in buying this item from here. 11 bucks is a deal. The "swivel" feature is a plus so the plug wont stab or scratch your laptop computer and it takes up less space in your bag. It has a nifty two sided plug perpendicular from a wall outlet to give easy access if you run into furniture.

Hope this helps you decide if your going to buy.

Works great 2008-04-04
As far as I can tell its working great. Only issue was the fold away plug was super difficult to unfold.

Practical investment for a big peace of mind! 2008-03-05

Great little device. 2008-01-15
This is small, lightweight, and works well. The photo only shows one outlet, but there are actually two (there is another outlet on the other side) so you can have up to two devices plugged into this adapter.

As Advertised 2007-11-07
The Belkin F9H220-TVL Travel Surge Protector performs as advertised. I use this product specifically for my notebook computer, so it resides inside the computer's tote bag. The swivel feature eliminates the possibility of the prongs spearing other items in the carry bag.

Convenient and nicely made. 2007-10-31
I cannot attest to its ability in the power surge department, as I've never had one, but I am a fan of most Belkin products and feel comfortable that it will do its job.

I purchased two of these to keep with my laptop cords, one in each of two opposite areas of my house, and plan to bring one with me when I travel. It is nicely made and I like having the outlets on the sides because I actually had to place each of them behind furniture and if the outlets were in the front they would protrude out WAY too far.

I didn't have the problem that another reviewer mentioned about have a difficult time opening up the retracting plug, however, and found this very easy to operate.

Great product with little design flaw 2007-07-24
I use my laptop at school quite a bit and wanted to have a travel surge protector. I bought this one because it gave me the most protection for the money and I trust the Belkin name. While I haven't had anything happen that might test the surge protector, I appreciate having the portable protection.

There are 2 things I might change. The hidden swivel plug is a convenient feature but can be difficult to extract. I don't know if it's common, but mine requires a bit of force to get it out. I'm afraid to break one of the prongs.

Also, I wish it had one more outlet instead of just two. Overall, a good buy though.
