WORKS FOR ME!
2008-04-21
I must have really small ear canal openings because almost ANY set of headphones without clips, or headband (or some sort of support) all fall off or out of my ears. The EarJams include 3 sizes of rubber "stoppers" which help secure them in my ears as well as blocking out environmental noise. I even stopped taking my Bose noise-canceling headphones on trips because they're too bulky and EarJams work well enough for me to hear music and watch movies. True-- they don't cancel out engine noise and hum, but they do a darn good job blocking it.
Two kinds of plastic caps are included for both old and newer versions of Apple's Earbud headphones, so if you have both, you'll get a bonus pair of EarJams for the price of one!Griffin Technology 4039-EJAM EarJam Earbud Sound Enhancing Covers
Just what I needed
2008-03-18
For some reason, the headphones that come with the iPod kept falling out of my ears. (I guess I was the victim of poor product design!) These work great for keeping the earphones in my ears. I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't have a problem with the regular phones, though.
Bottom line: Great if you need something to keep the phones in place
yes, they do fit the iPhone!!

I'm not sure why others have said these don't fit iPhone earbuds. This package comes with two sets of snap-on covers - one fits the iPhone buds and the other fits regular iPod buds. As for the sound, there really is very little difference with these covers on or off. Maybe a little less highs with the covers on, but I had to switch back and forth several times to really tell any difference. The best solution would be for Apple to offer their in-ear buds in an iPhone model with the microphone, etc. But since Apple isn't doing that, these covers are a good second choice. These are far more comfortable than the iPhone buds by themselves, and you get much better isolation from outside noise. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong by giving these a try.
Great idea, bad solution

Good idea to solve the problem of the quality of the apple headphones, but not a good solution, because increase to much the size of the earphones and does not fit in to the ears.
good concept, bad execution.

I was really looking forward to using the earjams for my iphone. unfortunately even though it may cancel out noise, the sound that these buds give are horrible. The bass sounds way too loud and they never seem secure in the ear. Don't waste your money on these.
Does the job as advertised

Griffin EarJams revolutionize the iPod earbud by providing a more custom fit to your ears. The result is greater comfort, improved sound isolation from external noise, superior sound quality and volume. EarJams easily snap onto your Apple earbuds. Each set of EarJams comes with three sizes of earpads to give you a snug and comfortable fit.
GOOD BUT NOT GREAT

THE CLIP MADE IT EASIER TO USE THE IPOD EARPHONES, SINCE THE BUDS ALONE WERE ALWAYS FALLING OUT. THE CLIP MAKE IT BETTER, BUT ARE NOT SNUG IN THE EAR
Griffin Earbuds for iPods

I got a new iPod as a Christmas gift, but the earbuds were not comfortable and too big. These earbuds fit right over the ones that come with the iPod. It comes with many different sizes to choose for your ear size and also the type of iPod that you use. (I am using it with the 3rd generation Nano.) It comes with a convenient case. The sound is great.
Not for the discerning ear.

This attachement totally dampens the mid and high range. It sounded like hearing music in a loud pub when you are in the toilet. Definitely not for hi-fi use.
Didn't Fit

I have very small ears so normal iPod ear buds hurt my ears if I wear them for more than 15 minutes or so. I bought these because they make the actual part that goes in your ears smaller. With three different sized attachments you would think one of them would fit, but not for me. I ended up giving them to my mother and they worked great for her. If your headphones hurt you ears enough, I would at least spend the seven bucks to see if these would work for you. If you have a friend with old iPod headphones, you could even split the cost because it comes with an adapter for both styles. From the little amount of time I did use them, I did enjoy the sound quality and they blocked outside noise better than the normal headphones by themselves.
