No Complaints 2008-04-02
This stereo adapter allows me to use a regular 3.5mm mini-plug headphone and the adapter then has a male 2.5mm micro plug that goes into my PDA phone. Product works fine.

Works well, should have bought 2; should have bought over a year ago 2008-03-21
Works well, but sometimes I think the adapter will snap off, given the small diameter of the plug into the Treo. It's okay if you just set up in your car or on your desk, but probably not so good in your pocket.

Should have bought 2 so I could leave one in the car. Or, it would be better if they had a 2-pack w/ a discount. Same goes w/ SD memory cards. The phone can do so much more w/ just these 2 accessories.

Worked for my Treo 700w 2008-01-07
Worked as advertised. Adapter allows me to use standard headphones with my Treo 700w.

Broke my Treo 2007-05-24

The headset adapter works just fine. The problem is that it caused my Treo to think that a headset was attached all of the time, so I couldn't hear any incoming calls.

Apparently, this happens quite often on the Treo 650's. I had to download a program to bypass the headset jack on the Treo just to get my phone working again. Not worth it!

Works great... 2007-05-12
even though it works perfectly fine, i still believe that it should have been provided for free with my Palm Treo.

Works For Me 2008-07-21
It's a simple device that converts the small stereo jack into a normal headphone one. Not much to go wrong with it. You do need to be careful to insert the connecting headphone jack into it firmly - otherwise you'll get audio out of the left side only. Common problem - other designs have the same issue due to the nature of the connector. I could understand some of the other complaints about the stiff 90 degree connector causing damage if bumped hard. I take gentle care of my Treo 755p, so it's not an issue for me. Frankly, I would have appreciated having either ends connected with a flexible cable to make it easier to plug in and out, and a bit more streamlined with space, but that's more of a nit-pick.

It works 2008-06-15
This "stereo headphone adapter" takes 3.5mm female 3-conductor (stereo, same as most headphones) to 2.5mm male 3-conductor (stereo, same diameter as the Treo 600, 700 series jacks). The Treo's jack is actually a 4-conductor (two stereo audio out, one mono audio in (for microphone), one ground), but this adapter just ignores the mono in conductor. Altogether, this allows your Treo audio out (but not audio in) to work with standard headphones. Yeah.

As previous reviewers have said, the product works and has good sound quality, but the form factor is flawed. The adapter's rigid design puts a lot of pressure on it and on your Treo's jack when it's in use. It would be better if it had a short, flexible cord between the male and female ends.

It's OK... 2008-06-13
It's ok. It works. I'd recommend getting the Insten adapter instead. I use it with my Centro and it's the best adapter I've found.

Be careful you don't damage your headset jack 2008-05-06
Doesn't matter if it was made by Palm or not.

If I were you, I wouldn't use it on a Treo 650 - except temporarily for testing purposes.

Frankly, the audio jack on the Treo 650 is a known weak point. And it can break in a way that permanently silences the phone's built-in earphone.

If you want to read more about this, just Google "treo jack".

This L-shaped adapter can apply too much leverage on that little 2.5 mm jack. I you want a demonstration, go borrow an adapter, plug it in, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Better get the type with a flexible cord. Sure, that kind eventually gets flakey - but it's cheaper to replace an adapter than to get your phone repaired.

A neccesary evil 2008-04-19
You'll need something like this to listen to MP3s on your Palm. I'm not sure why they made Palms incompatible with regular headphones - oh, perhaps so they could get an extra $10 off you. It works like it's supposed to. Kinda weird hanging off my phone though.
