It's not pretty, but it works great!

I have this light on my desk where I write all sorts of papers and do a lot of reading from glossy-paged text books and ink jet printed pages. The light it produces is wonderful. It's easy on the eyes and the illumination is near perfect with minimal glare. The only downside is that it's not very aesthetically pleasing. But if you're looking for function over form, this is the light for you.

My wife and I each use one of these lamps at our computers. The light thrown by it is very easy on the eyes, and takes the strain out of reading and computer work. It does affect our mood in a positive way, too. It seems well built and has some weight to it. We have been using them for 5 or 6 weeks now.

Oversized lamp, cheap plastic look

When this thing shipped to me i just plain hated it.
1. Lamp looks nice on the picture, but in real life plastic that its made of looks really cheap
2. Though i approximated the dimensions when i bought it, the lamp turned out to be HUGE
3. The lamp is huge, but the CORD is very very SHORT, about 2,5ft only.
4. The bulb is DIM
5. I keep it tho, primarily because even if I'd like to return it, the shipping is at my own cost. I checked out with the USPS, and they estimated it to be around $15, about the half price i paid for the lamp. So i keep it, this ugliest thing I've ever owned in my life.

Great Lamp!!!

I just got my lamp and the assembly was very simple and quick. The instructions, although they were confusing to me at first (my first product assembly), they quickly became easy and straight forward. It took me roughly 15 minutes to remove the lamp from the box and assemble it. There were no small parts, just remove and attach the neck piece to the base of the lamp by sliding in the cords that connect the base to the neck into the neck's innerds. Afterwards, just screw in the neck to the base, plug it into an outlet and enjoy.

The brightness is amazing considering it is has an energy conserving bulb, it provides perfect light for reading, writing, or whatever task you need light for. The neck is easy to bend and retains a solid feel, unlike other lamps that feel a bit flimsy and cheap. This is an extremely great buy overall, truly worth the money it is going for. Thank you for a great product Grandrich. =)

Obviously it is a table lamp, so not expected to give lot of light for the entire room!

Pros: Nice light (don't know if this is really full spectrum or not, but better than most fluorescent lamps; I can't see any flicker at all with this light.

Cons: a little on the cheap side (looks/construction) but Ok for a student table/dorm use.

In all, gives a nice light that you can use for reading for hours witout eye strain.

I needed a study lamp so I bought this for $35. I've had it for 9 months and it's served me well. My room's dark and my other lamps are rubbish so I also use this as my main light source, since I'm at my desk most of the time, anyway.

great lamp

This gives off the best light for reading! I have it on the nightstand next to my bed. It may not be the most attractive lamp and it is a bit large, but for the money, it can't be beat.

Amazing lighting

Using lights in your bedroom or living room ranges anywhere from 30 to 100 watts. I'm able to focus "sunlight" light onto a small area of work using these. At night I don't like to turn on my room lights because they consume 60 watts altogether. So if I'm just computing or doing homework I'll have these handy. Go green
