A True Work Horse

This thing is a horse and I am so glad I bought it. I have been giving myself haircuts for almost 10 years and have always used the "StoreMart" brand clippers that come in a $20 kit. After having gone through about five of these kits in the last 10 years, I finally decided to get a good set of clippers. Found this online, read the other reviews, and bit the bullet.

I have to say that this thing is amazing. When you turn it on, the first thing you notice is the sound. Not a buzzing "hum" like the other cheap versions, but a machine-like whirl. After reading that these are used for all day salon use, I think it will hold up to my head twice a week.

I wish it had come with a protective case or pouch, but I'll get over it.

I used to use the $50 pair of clippers and they would last about a year or so. But they always got clogged up and they were a pain to clean.

Now that I have the Classic 76 clipperws, I will never own another pair. The quick disconnect blade is so perfect for cleaning and switch lengths in a flash. I use the to cut my hair and my beard. They stay cool and pretty quiet compared to my cheap pair I had. Since the brushes in the motor are replaceable, these clippers should last me for a VERY long time.

For years I have shaved my head, and for years I have used low quality clippers because I didn't want to spend the money of the professional stuff. What a mistake. These clippers, while a bit large and unwieldy, are an incredible pleasure to use. I have lots of thick hair and the cheap clippers just bind up, get hot, make a ton of noise, and constantly miss hair. These clippers don't even change sound when I swamp it with my hair. Another positive aspect of these that is worth the price -- no crappy plastic guards are necessary, you can just get easily interchangable blades. I highly recommend these clippers to anyone who regularly shaves their head -- they may seem expensive when compared to a $30 set from Walmart, but after you use them just one time you'll realize that the cheapie ones are actually far more expensive.

Goodbye anything that gets in this things way.

Received this thing as a gift and I've never gotten a better one. I've been shaving my head using them wussy products you get at Target or Wal-mart or whatever for about ten years. I now consider all of them years a waste of my life. You can hear the difference the moment you turn it on, it means business and it lets you know. This thing works so well I sometimes shave 2 or 3 times a week with it. Keep your enemies close and your hair closer. Buy this thing now. I came here to buy the 00000 blade just for the fun of it and decided to leave a review. I love this product and so will you.

What can I say? The clippers are excellent. The blades are sharp, and the clipper body feels heavy duty. That's probably the only minor negative is that the clippers are heavy, but this property is an obvious testimony to its quality. I definitely recommend the clippers to someone who is looking for clippers of great quality.

The Oster Classic 76 Pro Hair Clipper is not disappointing in any way. A quality piece of machinery and easy to use.

Great for short hair

Product is solid and cuts well. Blades are very short, and will not be for everyone. I have ordered longer blades (not cheap) and will continue to use. Cutting ones own hair is not easy (especially the back). Hope I will improve with time!

This is the ' Rolls Royce' of cilppers, period.

From the moment you plug and click on this product, listsen to it's motor, you began to regret all the dollars wasted on cheaper versions, you deserve better, you deserve Rolls Royce.

I used it on myself, and didn't at all find the wieght to be an issue, it was over emphasized on some of the others reviews.
