For your child's sake

If you have a child who is a bedwetter & is embarressed or ashamed by it you need to get this alarm and you need to get it right now. I hesitated because I kept thinking my daughter, now 8, would 'outgrow it' and I shouldn't have waited. It took us about 2 1/2 months and I had to set up the baby monitor so I could get up with her but she's dry now all the time & so happy and proud of herself and not worried her friends would 'smell her bed' when they come to visit. Well worth the money. Well worth twice what I paid for it. She's made me promise to keep it until she's 102 just in case. The varying alarms on this particular brand were very helpful to us, she's an extremely deep sleeper and some worked a lot better than others. It's such a relief to me and her to have this behind us. Buy it buy it buy it.
It truly works

I have to admit, we were a little skeptical when we decided to spend $100 on a bedwetting alarm. My son is almost eight years old and has wet the bed almost every single night of his life. When he turned six he decided not to wear a pull up any longer, which has meant we've had to do more laundry in the past two years than most families do in five years! We've been telling him all along, and believe it ourselves, that his body was still growing and that he'd be able to stay dry on his own eventually. But honestly, we were tired of waking up twice a night to a soaked bed to deal with, and his interrupted sleep was affecting his behavior. We asked him if he wanted to try the alarm, and he was interested right away. The first five weeks were very difficult, as we expected, but on the sixth week? Suddenly he had five dry nights in one week! We haven't had a wet night in three and a half weeks. His confidence is improving dramatically, his behavior is tons better, and our laundry load is down to a normal load every other day. I wholeheartedly recommend this alarm to anyone in a similar situation.
It Worked Here! Highly Recommend!

Every experience is different, but here is ours .... This alarm was used for a 71/2 year old boy. Since potty trained at 3 years old, he has been wetting the bed. We were hoping the alarm would work, but skeptical since he is a very deep sleeper and would wake up with an extremely full pullup every morning.
Week 1 the alarm woke us up a couple times a night. Week 2 still up a couple times, but the alarm would stop him from going and he would get almost all the wet into the toilet. Week 3 drier, with 2 nights totally dry. Week 4, had 5 nights dry. Week 5 and Week 6, only 1 night each week when the alarm woke him up to go and all the other nights dry. We used the alarm four more weeks (Week 7, 8, 9, 10) and all nights totally dry and no alarm. (Note: Week 2 and 3 were the hardest, we wanted to give up, but received an email from the company encouraging us and decided to stick it out for at least 10 weeks - so glad we did, he was all dry after 6 weeks :-)).
A couple tips that helped us...
1. used a baby monitor so I could hear the alarm from my room and help him at the beginning to get to the bathroom, 2. used a pullup over the underwear/alarm setup so that we could just change the pullup in the middle of the night and not all the bed sheets, 3. used the random tone alarm setting so he didn't get used to (and ignore) one alarm tone.
Worked for us!

My son is nearly six and we wanted to get his nighttime wetting stopped before he started sleep overs with his new kindergarten friends. We tried a less expensive alarm, but it wasn't loud enough to wake him (or me!) up. This one, although twice the price, worked from day one. After 2 weeks, he started to stay dry at night. He is even able to wake up and go to the bathroom on his own. The tone we choose is very loud, and the vibrating helps him wake up, too. The only draw back is the pin fastener - I did prefer the magnetic closing device on the other alarm. He's gone nearly 2 weeks with one accident. Such an improvement!
We used this alarm for our four year old son.

My two year old was dry over night by the time she was a couple of months old.
The older one, however, was almost four - and he was still wet at night, even when we'd wake him at 11 pm, cut off his liquids, 2 before sleep bathroom breaks, etc... I figured his wiring must be a bit off - especially since it is possible to stay dry at night before a year.
I went online and researched everything out there. I research for a living, so I feel pretty confident about what I find. And I found the nurse practitioner's site on bed wetting. I ordered this alarm and the book from Amazon and we did the program for one week.
**Keep in mind that many experts recommend starting this program at age 6. My boy was almost four, so that was on the really young side.**
We did the alarm for a week. It scared the BEJEEEEZUS out of him the first couple of nights. Nights 3-7 he would just come to my room, flashing, vibrating and beeping and stand next to me until I woke up. Very calmly, I would turn off the alarm and we would go to the bathroom.
At this point I didn't quite get him to just go straight to the bathroom - he was too young to figure the shut off sequence - and it is pretty tough in the middle of the night to negotiate the very loud, vibrating, flashing thing's off sequence - it is a two step process. So he came to me first - and then we would both go to the bathroom and get the alarm reset, take care of business, get him changed and put the alarm back on.
By night three - he was only one drop wet - the alarm had put an immediate end to the soaking wet drawers in the middle of the night.
At night number 7, he had HAD it with this program. He hated the alarm, wouldn't wear it and was very upset about the whole deal. Since he was really young, I caved. "Fine, we'll try again in a couple of years," I thought.
I had a case of pull-ups left from the last baby and just pulled them on him for nighttime. He didn't like THAT, either - but with working full time, I was wearing a little thin with the extra loads of bed linens on a daily basis!
I put the alarm away, thinking, "there goes $100..." and sighed.
Four days later - he had a dry diaper. THIS had never happened before. I thought it might be a fluke, but c'mmon - I WAS VERY EXCITED. The next few nights, wet again. And then, at the end of the second week - night after night - he was DRY! The third week after the alarm - he was dry five nights, one wet - and then has been dry ever since.
At this point, the pull-ups go back away. And he gets his batman briefs back!
AND - his self esteem and happiness with this outcome, have soared.
I am going to attribute his nighttime success to the one week we used the alarm. Since he was much younger than recommended, perhaps it only took this short amount of time to get his brain wired properly - and then a couple of weeks for the new neural pathways to form.
I do know that it worked because he got to associate the feelings of full bladder with waking up. And that's what you are spending the $$ for at the end of the day - that re-wiring session.
The device is brilliant, and it is brutal. People at work had told me about their children FINALLY getting over this problem at 11 or 12. I just kept thinking - that has to DESTROY a child's self esteem. WHY would you do that, when devices like this are available?? These parents also thought I was CRAZY to do this program with my four year old.
It's been a couple of months at this point, and I am going to say - WE ARE DONE!
One final note - my son really hated the PINK color - I probably should have purchased a blue one. Might want to keep that in mind, if you have a fussy boy ;-)
However this alarm works, it WORKS!

Our little guy is now 6 years old and had never made it through a night without wetting the bed/ pull-up. We had spent over a year waking him every night at 11pm to go to the washroom in order to avoid accidents. When he started to be concerned about wearing pull-ups at sleepovers we decided to seek a professional opinion. Our MD suggested an enuresis alarm. Still skeptical, we browsed the Internet and found this product with which many parents had found success. We went ahead and ordered it and were pleased that our insurance covers such items. Our son was quite excited to try it when it arrived. I will tell you that from that night on, it was a huge success. In the first two weeks of use, he had one wet night and one semi-wet night. All the rest of the nights and those since have been DRY nights. It is amazing. I think the combination of the alarm and a motivated child make this a very successful intervention for nocturnal enuresis. I would highly recommend this product.
Sooooo Impressed

We were getting frustrated with my daughter's nighttime wetness issues. We tried limiting her liquids and waking her up in the middle of the night, but nothing worked. After reading the reviews we decided to try this product.
Based on the advice in one of the reviews, I decided to ask her if she wanted the pee-pee alarm. She loved the idea and picked the color. Then she couldn't wait for it to arrive.
The first night she was dry. We couldn't believe it. The next night she experienced the alarm for the first time at about 6 am. The following night she came into our room at midnight with the alarm blaring and lights flashing- I was in a deep sleep and thought I was being abducted by aliens (I don't understand how any kids sleep through this alarm- it's very loud, and it flashes and vibrates).
After that night my daughter has been dry- 17 nights in a row. Every morning she wakes up and tells us how many dry nights she's had in a row.
One thing that I decided to do was to stop using the audio alarm because it kind of scared my daughter. Every night I "test" the alarm by setting the alarm off with the sound on. Then I secretly switch the alarm to vibrate mode. My daughter told me that she didn't like hearing the alarm- I told her that she controls the alarm and that if she stays dry then it will never wake her up again. She seemed to like the idea of her having power over the alarm.
We highly recommend this product.
Can't praise this enough

Believe all of these positive reviews. I think this is the first review I've written for anything. This has worked so well for my son.
He's 7 and had rarely had a dry night before using the alarm, and he was like a sleep-walking rag doll when we'd wake him up to use the bathroom. His progress was so clear to see. In the first 4 nights, the alarm went off 2-3 times per night, and he was soaking wet. Night 5 he began a 5 night-stretch of being woken up just once by the alarm and only slightly wet (just underpants, the sheets were dry). Night 7, even though he still had the alarm go off around midnight, he starting waking himself up around 4 or 5 am to go to the bathroom. Then, night 10 he started being completely dry. Initially in this dry stretch, he would wake himself up a few times in the night (never had done that before this alarm) to go use the bathroom around 3 or 4 am. And now he just wakes himself up around 5. He has now had 10 straight dry nights, and he couldn't be more pleased with himself. This is nothing short of wonderful. Worth every single penny for the self-esteem factor alone, but then you factor in the cost of pull-ups or the cost of washing sheets on a daily basis, and this thing pays for itself.
worth every penny!

This product is wonderful! I bought this for my 5 yr old daughter who was having trouble waking to go to the bathroom. Some nights she'd make it through dry and others not. I got real tired of buying pull ups.
Once ordered, it arrived very quickly. The first night she had an accident (i didn't have it clipped on right). We did start with underwear with it clipped on and then a pull up on top...she'd feel the wetness but it wouldn't be all over the bed. Second night it went off, she had gone just a little. Third night it went off, she had gone just a drop and still had a full bladder when she made it to the bathroom. From that point on she stayed dry. We did a week with the underwear and pull up-no accidents. Then we did a week without the pull up, just underwear and alarm-no accidents. Now we're doing one night with the alarm, one night without. Seems to be working! I was very excited when she got up in the middle of the night on her own to go to the bathroom without the alarm going off! What a breakthrough!! I couldn't be happier with this product and it's given my daughter something to be proud of. I really wished I had bought this sooner!! What are you waiting for, buy it?!!!
Absolutley Amazing - Just as Advertised

Here is our experience thus far (I'll update the review when we are totally complete with the regiment)

Our son is usually scared of sudden, loud noises, so we were a little nervous about how this would go. He liked that he got to choose out the alarm that would go off. When it woke him in the night, it did scare him and he wanted us to take it off right away, so we did. However, at bedtime each night, he wanted us to put it back on his pajamas.
I am very interested to see if he wakes up on his own (w/o the alarm going off) during the night to relieve himself - this has not happened yet. I'm also very curious how we will do when he stops wearing the alarm.
So far, everything has worked just as advertised and our son is very proud of his dry nights.

UPDATE: after 7 weeks, we have had over 3 weeks with all dry nights. We have stopped using the alarm all together. I think this really worked! He has not yet woken up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, but he has woken up early in the morning to go. He is so proud oh himself and I am pleased on so many levels!
