Wonderful! 2007-06-21
Don't be put off by any of the negative reviews given here. This is a truly great concert with an intelligent appreciative audience. The concert is performed in an intimate environment. The picture quality is first class as is the sound (DD 5.1).

The band is extremely tight, but what else would one expect from one of rocks all time greats.

I echo some of the other reviewers here............ why don't they release the rest of the concert to DVD. I would certainly not object to shelling-out again.

Disappointing 2007-06-09
I really like Steve Winwood's recordings and looked forward to the DVD of this concert. However, Mr. Winwood seemed to me to have lost some of his vocal strength. Moreover there seemed to be a surprising lack of chemistry between Mr. Winwood and both the other members of his ensemble and the audience. I'm sure he has done much better; I wish there was a DVD of one of those concerts.

Great 2007-04-21
If you like Steve Winwood or think you know him but not sure, buy this DVD. His is wonderful. All the songs are great and they jam on every song. This is well worth your money. Don't miss it.

Trust Me: "Traffic Jam" is well more worth your money 2007-03-31
Dearest and I actually saw this a couple of years ago on TV, where "Austin City Limits" usually played. Steve Winwood is someone I've admired since the Sixties - and he's even married to a Georgia Lady now, too! - but this "concert" just...doesn't..."get it." Steve, the guy who played percussion on the "Traffic Jam" DVD and the guy who played horns on same - that's IT. I know, I know, all other Traffic members have gone on to their reward (save Rosko & Dave), but this thing...EH. Steve looks and sounds tired. And that "Why Can't we Live Together" song he does here stunk back in 1972, when it was first done by Timmy Thomas, I think. But the bottom-of-the-pit here is the Traffic chestnut, "Dear Mr. Fantasy," with Steve on guitar, Walfredo on drums, and that horn guy on organ and "doing" the bass part on keyboard pedals. Steve: Jim, Chris, Rebop, & Rick are NOT "glancing down from on High with appraisal" this time out. Sorry. Get a BAND and eschew syntheszers, PLEASE?

Great show 2007-03-27
There are not many video records of Steve's performances, so this was a pleasure. His voice is not quite like the old days but he still sounds like no one else. Also, it is great to watch him play the Hammond B3 with both hands and his feet on the bass pedals. Enjoy.

Winwood dares to change 2008-05-20
I have always been a fan of Steve Winwood and it's great to see a musician experiment with different sounds. This is a very good set of new music and the quality is excellent. If you like Steve Winwood check this dvd out.

So sorry, it's a dud........... 2008-05-18
For me this title is a dud.

Get Traffic - The Last Great Traffic Jam OR Crossroads 2007 for some great footage of Winwood. (5 star stuff).

Clean, Sterile Winwood 2008-04-22
I enjoyed this, but there is no bite. After I saw it I realized: no bass player. Big mistake. The group is missing that glue. Winwood is stellar on organ, but bass pedals don't equal a great bassist. While much better than his 80's output, this still has a "don't upset the yuppies drinking Chablis by actually rocking out" vibe. I much prefer The Last Traffic Jam, even with its inane editing. Maybe I need to see the unedited version of this DVD (which doesn't seem to exist). Dear Mr. Fantasy is way too clean and when he rocks the solo, there is no rhythm guitar or bass to back him up. There are 2 highlights: Can't Find My Way Home & the cover of 70's soul song, Why Can't We Live Together? The band seems to be grooving on this one. Rent this before buying. Wished I saw Clapton/Winwood recently(they should just do a real Blind Faith tour, with Traffic & Derek songs too). Winwood is OPENING for Petty this Summer, which is absurd with his talent(and I don't even hate Petty).

outstanding in every way!! 2007-12-13
If you really listen to all the little things that make up great music, you will agree this concert is one of the best you'll ever hear. Expertly played, well recorded, seasoned musicians: all contribute to a musical experience you'll listen to again & again.
Winwood sings, plays melody with his right hand, chords with his left and plays bass with his feet. Be amazed by this because very few musicians can accomplish what he does.

Certainly one of my top 5 concerts on DVD. If only I could've seen him live.

Winwood at his best 2007-09-15
If you are a Traffic fan this DVD is a must. Steve Winwood is a master and he shows it in this performance. Don't miss it!.
