Editorial Review
DVD+R Dual Layer media is the newest technology breakthrough in optical discs. The advanced, single-sided disc has an amazing 8.5GB of storage capacity, enough for up to four hours of DVD-quality video, 16 hours of VHS-quality video, or over 120 hours of MP3 audio. New technology allows material to be either read or recorded on one layer without affecting material on the other layer. An important advantage of the double-layer configuration is convenience. It allows users to read, write, or view nearly twice the amount of data than with the currently popular single-layer 4.7GB DVD discs without having to flip sides or change discs. This new media is compatible with most of the current DVD video players and DVD-ROM drives as well as new DVD+R DL drives and is ideal for virtually any business or household application. Pack includes 3 discs Jewel cases

dual layer dvd disk for what? 2007-12-23
I STILL AM NOT SURE WHY I PURCHASED THESE (6) DUAL LAYER DVD'S AFTER ONE YEAR ON MY SHELF, I TRIED TO BURN A DVD MOVIE ON ONE, AS IT WAS TOO LARGE FOR A STANDARD DVD AND IT COPIED HALF AND THEN QUIT, RUINING THE DUAL LAYER DISK AND LEAVING ME UNABLE TO MAKE A COPY OF THE MOVIE I WAS WANTING TO BACK UP. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE A REAL NEED FOR A DUAL LAYER DISK I WOULD NOT ADVISE YOU TO MAKE THE PURCHASE.

Waste of time and money 2007-11-14
I was in a time crunch and needed a dvd-dl disc. Unfortunately the only brand available to me at the time was Memorex. I bought the 3 pack, and despite all my attempts, the entire 3 pack was completely worthless. I tried using my internal drive as well as my external drive, all a waste of time. Finally, I went out and bought my favorite brand, Verbatim, and everything worked like a charm on the very first try. Don't gamble with your money, don't buy Memorex.

Memorex 2.4x 8.5 GB Double Layer DVD+R Pack 2007-07-16
Worked fine. People just need to make sure they buy the right DVD format's for their hardware. THAT is the reason they sometimes have problems... its NOT one brand versus the other that causes the problems. People do.

Stay away from these! 2007-02-23
I have constantly had problems with any Memorex media, both single layer and dual layer. I've thrown away dozens of discs. Similar problems as others have mentioned here, skipping, disc errors, inconsistent recording, high pitched sqealing in and out of the audio, very annoying, and on and on and on. I have had the best luck with Sony media. Stay away from anything with Memorex on it, this stuff is the worst media out there. I will never buy Memorex again. It's the cheapest media out there when it's on sale, but alas, you get what you pay for.

Dual Layer Coasters 2006-05-07
I got a 25 pack of these dual layer media on sale and over half of them have read errors.

DVDS freeze and skip making them useless.

Never again

2 Out of 6 Didn't Work 2006-03-28
I bought 6 disks (2 boxes) and 2 of the disks wouldn't work.

It worked after the firmwares update 2006-03-18
I'm writing this because I had most people's problem. It just wouldn't work. I followed the advise and updated the firmware and it did the trick, I just went to my computer's online support website and downloaded it. I'm putting 2 stars because of all the trouble I went through. I think this, being apparently such a common problem, should be at the very least mentioned somewhere in the product, so people don't have to do a whole research trying to figure out what's wrong.

Good Job! 2006-03-10
These Double Layer DVDs worked out great with the exception of one. 2 were able to play in my DVD theatre system, but one didn't. It was not a total lose because I was able to play it on my computer using my burner and it worked just fine there!
