Excellent phone. 2008-06-09
Excellent speakerphone that replaced a failing unit with a separate caller ID. Wish the display screen was adjustable since it is difficult for me to see from the position on the desk. Overall the phone sound quality and function are very good. Would definitely purchase this unit again.
Quick shipping of this product!

Big button phone 2008-06-02
I ordered the GE big button phone and it works great. The buttons are awesome and the screen is tilted perfectly for viewing. I'm very happy with this purchase but above all, I'm extremely happy with the service I get from Amazon.

Ring Ring 2008-05-27
The phone is great - big buttons, easy to use, But there is one thing. The speaker phone doesn't perform well. We bought this for my father-in-law who is very hard of hearing - wears hearing aids. We wanted him to be able to see who was calling so he wouldn't waste his time with the telemarketers. It says it's hearing aid compatible, but he finds if he removes his hearing aids he can hear better with the phone. It was a good buy.

Great Phone at a Great Price 2008-05-26
My grandmother is nearly blind and loves this phone. The numbers are huge and easy to enter. I love the feature that, before you pick up the phone or turn on the speaker phone, you can dial the number and make sure you have entered it right before you pick up the phone. And you can backspace, if you entered a wrong number, so you don't have to enter the whole number over again.

I would give this item five stars, but the handset doesn't feel secure when you hang it up. It feels like it could slide right off, even if it never does.

A Poor Speaker Phone 2008-05-13
I purchased this strictly for use as a speaker phone. The problem was:

1. No matter how high I cranked the volume I could not hear anybody. If there was any ambient noise in the room at all, the phone volume was too faint for me to hear.

2. Everybody I spoke to complained that they could not hear me.

Not much of a speaker phone.

I was impressed however with Amazon's easy product return process. Very nice. Thank you!

I wish someone would do this right 2008-06-25
PROS:
I can read the display and the (main) buttons easily!
It plugs in so it does *not* eat batteries like others.
All cords plug in so you can replace with different lengths as desired.
Sits at a good angle on desktop
CONS:
The handset is awkwardly shaped, uncomfortable for me to hold for long, impossible to hold with shoulder if both hands needed.
The sound of my speech and the room noise seems overly loud and tinny in the earpiece, which is disturbing and makes it hard to understand.
Does not hang on wall at a good angle, making it hard to read display.
The first one we bought, the CID display died in two weeks, fortunately Amazon immediately replaced it. The second one is still working past 6 weeks.

Very Poor Speakerphone, other problems 2008-06-21
Love the large buttons and display, BUT:
1. over half the people I talk with can't hear me thru the speakerphone
2. the phone needs an electric outlet
3. the CID IDs fewer than half the incoming calls
4. there's often feedback thru the speaker when I use the handset

I like this phone. 2008-06-21
I wanted a corded phone for my desk (I don't need a cordless phone there, and like not having to worry about handset batteries, plus sometimes the cordless phones don't work well in my office for some reason). I needed caller id (I don't have time at my desk to answer telemarketing calls, and another person's work calls come in on the same line, and I would like to let him get those), and speakerphone (conference calls). It was surprisingly hard to find a phone with these three features that was well-reviewed quality-wise (without lots of other features--multiple lines, etc--that I didn't want or need. This phone seems sturdy and works well. I can hear the speaker and people can hear me. It looks nice, too. I would like to have a voicemail message light, but wasn't able to find a phone with that feature in combination with the others I needed.

good phone! 2008-06-16
I bought this phone for two elderly people. It works very well, and it is a simple phone...nothing too fancy to confuse them. Very satisfactory and rather nice looking.

nice phone 2008-06-12
very nice phone.all the complaints about the reciever falling off are because the wall mount bracket needs to be installed right.
large caller id screen is great.very nice
