ONCE IT'S IN PLACE IT DOESN'T MOVE AND THE GUITAR STAYS IN TUNE. THERE IS REALLY NOTHING ELSE TO SAY EXCEPT IT IS A GREAT VALUE AND EVEN LOOKS VERY EDGY IN A GOOD WAY.

I bought this as a gift, so, my experience is limited. However, what i did see is that the G7th was as smooth and usable as it claims to be. i definitely intend to get one for myself.

This product is truly amazing. I was a little hesitant, becuase of the price, but based on the other reviews, I took the plunge. This thing is simply the highest quality capo I have ever used. It is worth every penny.
Here are the pros:
1) A retarded monkey could figure out how to use this thing within about 12 seconds.
2) The build quiality is so good that I believe you could run over this thing with a MAC truck and gig with it the same night without a back-up.
3) You have excellent control over the tension
4) It is very safe. I use this on my US made Jackson soloist and US Washburn N4 with no fear that it will harm the finish. It has plenty of padding in all the right places.
The Cons:
1) if you are reading this, you must not have one. That is all.
The price is not a con. When you get this, you will see that it is well worth the cheddar. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
High Quality Product 2008-07-14
I have been playing the guitar for over 30 years and have used many different types of Capo's during this time. Without any question, this is by far, the highest quality capo I have ever used or seen. Undoubtedly, this unit will last well beyond a lifetime. The only question is, does one really need a capo this snazzy? It can be equated to the the question, does one really need a solid gold tooth pick? Conversely, if you can afford this and have the expendable income to justify it, than by all means, go for it. You definitely will not be disappointed with the unit. The quality, design, functionality and appearance is beyond anything the competition is touting.

Worth every penny 2007-10-20
I've owned, lost, and discarded a lot of capos in 45 years of "pickin'". This capo is the real McCoy, lock it in place and forget about having to "fine tune". Expensive, but you won't be disappointed!

This capo is VERY good. It is easy to take off and simple to put on. It does not stretch my strings or scratch my fretboard at all. The rubber protectors also keep the neck from receiving any damage from use. The capo allows for a clean hold on the strings so you won't get any twangy sounds. Overall a very good product. It is expensive, but worth every penny.
Excellent Capo 2007-02-03
I was weary of purchasing this despite the excellent reviews before trying it. Paying almost 40 dollars for a capo, when I knew I could buy a dependable Dunlap for about $12 seemed absurd to me. But when I was in a guitar store and had the chance to use one, I knew exactly why it was $40. And it is well worth it.
The capo is sturdy, easy to use, and there's no ring or buzz on any string. There's really not any words to describe how happy I am with this product!
If you use a capo regularly, then this is well worth your money.

Pretty much just echoing what everyone has said so far...
This capo is awesome!
Just squeeze the clamp to your liking and it will freeze into place. Pull the thumb lever and it releases. Easy to attach, remove, and re-attach with one hand. I also appreciate the thick rubber stoppers in protecting the neck.
I was a bit wary at first, due to the price, but the second I used it I knew it was worth every penny.
