They work well, it would be good to have the sizing info posted. I am a size 11 and the chart says I should be in a large, but they have a tendancy to slip off o fmy foot in the mud.

Item arrived quite quickly. The actual product is o.k. I have size 8 1/2 shoes and I think I should have gone with a larger size. Overall they work really well in icy conditions.
Can't live without these!

I got a pair of these for myself, and then gave a pair to each member of my family for Christmas! They are awesome, and perfect for our unpredictable Missouri weather!
YAKTRAX Pro Ice Grips - Nikki's Mom Loves 'Em 2008-02-09
I bought these for my mom (who is an avid walker) after she complained that her other YakTrax (not the Pro) kept falling off while she walked. She was unable to find the YakTrax Pro in any stores - but I was able to find them here with no problem & at a comparable price.
Although the shipping took 2 days longer than what I paid for, the product exceeded expectations - which is the most important thing.
She is extremely pleased with the product, and it has made walking during the winter (here in New England) much safer for her.
And when mama's happy, were ALL happy.

The Yaktrax Pro is a great item. We've had some recent ice storms here in the midwest, which makes getting around a slippy slope task. However the Yaktrax Pros I purchased changed that. They are light weight, very easy to attach, and give you wonderful footing. I even used these while ice fishing, and had great traction. I highly recommend this product.

Works well on ice - watch out for deep snow 2008-01-07
Have used these several times now and they work well on ice/compact snow. Just watch when using in deep snow - even with velcro strap one came off. I didn't notice right away and was lucky to find it!

Good for complete ice, poor on mixed ice-concrete

If you expect to be walking on pure ice all the time, I'd recommend Yak-Trax. If you walk across a lot of concrete between patches of ice, you might want to think about getting something a little more wear-resistant. One of the rubber strands on the bottom of mine wore out and broke after about a month of use. I'm attributing this to a lot of walking on concrete between patches of ice wearing out the metal coils and the coils cutting the rubber. But since this mixed-use is what Yak-Trax are made for (as opposed to crampons) I'd call it a near fatal problem.
My next purchase will be of Kahtoola Microspikes or a similar shoe chain, in the hope that the chain will be much more wear resistant than Yak-Trax.
Good on ice but not practical 2007-12-22
These are pretty good on ice, but extremely slippery on almost every other surface. I almost took a header the other day when I forgot to take them off and walked on a stone surface. I find it impractical to keep putting these on and off because it gets your hands wet and muddy, and you have to watch out not to cut yourself. Then you have to find somewhere to put them until you go back on the ice. So, if your travels involve walking on ice plus other surfaces, another solution is probably better.
