Be warned: this product does not work to cablevision's HD boxes. 2008-08-02
I bought this product hoping to resolve the loss of signal strength due to 4 way splitting.
Bad news is that this product make splitted signal/noise ratio worse! I got cable guys came to my house for outside work (cablevision's wire problem) and asked them to measure the signal before and after this splitter during their visit, they told me that this splitter makes signal noise ratio worse and actually I should be better off using normal splitter!

Excellent product 2007-12-07
I purchased this product to replace a Channel Master amp I returned after it quit working in less than 2 weeks. I am using it to boost signals from an antenna, not cable. It works great & I have not had any breakup of my HD reception since installing it. I am about 20 miles from the station signal towers. Highly recommend.

Clear picture as promised 2007-07-03
The difference was immediate and dramatic when this amplifier was installed. Prior to installation, the combination of a long cable run and a 3-way lossy splitter caused the picture on all of the TVs (and TiVo) to be grainy and snowy. After installation the picture is crisp and clear. Installation was simple, and I appreciated the use of a coax cable for the power supply. Despite the fact that I had to install a new power outlet in the attic to use this device, it was well worth the effort.

Greatly Improves Signal 2007-02-06
I am now able to receive all the HD channels comcast offers, and without any glitches.

My cable internet connection is much more stable, and reliable. And because of the stability, my upload/download speeds have "increased", meaning they remain at a constant "high" rate continuously.

This device is great.

It made things worse 2007-01-22
I purchased this item in the hopes that it would cure the audio dropout and video corruption issues I have been having with Comcast digital cable. With the Comcast -provided splitter, both my Series 3 TiVo and my Domcast DVR experienced these half-second to 2-seconds audio dropouts every so often, and most of the time they were accompanied by a momentary video corruption. Kind of annoying. I thought based on some other reports from users of Series 3 TiVos who also have Comcast that this might help, but all it did was make things significantly worse!

With the cable coming in straight from the pole, no splitter, I had a signal strength on the Series 3 of 94. With the Monster Cable TGHZ-4RF splitter, I still have a signal strength of 94. With the Channel Vision C-0314, I had a signal strength of 73. It introduced three new kinds of corruption and artifacting that happened much more frequently. It's just not useful in any way.

The good news is it did not slow my cable modem down at all.
