This bed was bought for a woman with disk degredation in her back. She got it just before her surgery and couldn't wait to get back to it from the hostipal. From what I know, she really loves the bed and it releaves a lot of pressure from her back. I would say 5 stars, but I don't sleep on it...

The minuses you probably know- primarily the strong smell. It dissipated in about a week or two, but is still noticeable when you get close to the mattress. The mattress is very heavy and I do not recommend trying to move it single handed, in fact get several helpers if you can. On the other hand, we saved enough on the mattress that we also bought a (very nice) new bed to put it on with the money we saved over buying retail. My wife has several health problems (fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis)that have been helped helped a lot since we switched. I have been working wierd shifts but have still been able to get anough rest even on less sleep. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends, and buy another when it wears out. Oh, and be warned it is a TALL mattress. Our 2 and 4 year old boys cannot climb on the bed without help any more. Love it!

First off let me start off by saying i was very scared to purchase a mattress online without trying it first, but i did TONS of research and decided that all the good reviews here on amazon convinced me to give it a shot. I had a $1500 sealy pillow top mattress that got very uncomfortable after laying on it for more than a couple hours. My arms would fall asleep, my back would hurt, and it would take me Forever to fall asleep with tossing and turning. i laid on a couple memory foam mattresses in the store to see if i woud like it...the price range for them (tempurpedic, sealy tru form, serta mem. foam) was $2000-5000....NO JOKE.... i was actually gonna buy one, but i am SOOOO glad i didnt. I ordered this mattress on a tuesday and recieved on a mon. pretty good since i live across the country(new jersey). it came vacume packed rolled up in plastic kinda like a carpet. I opened it right away and it started to inflate ...it took about 2 hours to get to its real size. I did notice a smell but im not going to complain about since i read enough reviews that said "THERe IS A SMELL" i was expecting that, its kinda like a paint smell. So now for the comfort...this is honestly the best mattress i have ever slept on. this is as or more comfortable than the more expensive beds i laid on in the store. I LOVE IT!!! it is firm ...but soft at the same time...its so cool...it really comforms to you and ya feel the support!!!i would really recommend this to anyone who just wants a good nights sleep....my boyfriend and my two dogs love it too!!! If your having doubts i really dont think you will be disapointed...but make sure you lay on a memory foam mattress in a store to see if you like it....Sweet dreams!!!!
Customer Service Sorely Lacking

Ordered this bed....was never told it required a signature upon delivery. For those of us that don't have a member of the household at home during the day....this is an IMPORTANT piece of information. Bottomline - I did not find out that deliveries had been attempted until I started looking around outside because I had not received it yet and it was now quite late. It took 3 hours at different times on the phone with the shipper (my emails to SleepShop accomplished nothing) and enlisting someone to stay at my house not one day but two days before it was received. Once received and finally opened...there was some damage...the cover had a hole in it and a small slash in the mattress....my contact with the SleepShop again brought NO SATISFACTION. I have a mattress that I don't know how long it will last with a tear in it. SleeShop's only offer was to send me another cover...no partial refund...no offer to exchange...just a cover....WOW WHAT A SACRIFICE.
Customer Service 0. Would NOT order from this vendor again.

Got the bed right after Thanksgiving of 06. Got it in the house, unwrapped it. Love it. Nice bed. My parents bought one and I have recommended it to many others. I knew I was making a mistake when I bought it but much to my surprise my wife and I are very happy with out new mattress. Serious business, it is a nice bed.
Different from a coil mattress though, try one out locally to be sure that you like the foam feel. It is hard to describe the difference.
We love it. I am for real and so is the mattress.

Sleeping is believing 2008-02-23
All I can say is that since purchasing and using this bed my five hours of sleep nightly makes me feel as if I have had a eight full hours. In my old mattress which was very comfortable I still woke up and still felt somewhat tired. I can not tell you how much more effective my sleep has been with this mattress. With regard to the smell mine disappated in a week it was nothing significant to me.
Warning with this matress you will want to find excuses to use it.

I purchased one of these based on the reviews, and after having tried one of the T-branded beds this is a clone of. Previously the wife and I had problems finding a bed we both like but this one is finally the solution we've both been looking for. We both agree the quality of our sleep has improved compared to our previous inner-spring mattress (which cost more than this one I did I might add).
The smell is definitely something to go on the 'con' side. We'd previously purchased memory-foam pillows so this wasn't something new to us. The smell is still there after a few weeks of use but it's gradually dwindling.
I saw something in the reviews about having vivid dreams while sleeping on this mattress - I have to say I had a couple of doozy's shortly after buying this mattress but haven't noticed anything odd recently.
The customer service could be a little better - the sales staff seemed more eager to initiate a sale rather than take the time to answer my questions, however I didn't have any issues with the shipping etc. so I haven't really had much reason to call for service. Probably a good thing.
This mattress doesn't come with a box-spring so you'll need to either use it with a platform bed, purchase a box spring separately or rig up something. The retail price of a separate box spring in my area was ridiculous so I spent about 1/5 as much on some lumber and added slats and a plywood platform to my regular bed, giving us the uber-low-profile bed we were looking for.
GREAT Deal 2007-10-05
We have had our mattress for a year now and regularly recommend it to anyone that asks about it. We have had water beds and very high dollar pillow top mattersses and this one tops them all. I was a bit skeptical at first but my wife had slept on a memory foam mattress and wanted to try it. This turned out to be one of those products that was far better than I expected. Before this mattress, we both would wake up with a few aches and pains from time to time. Since getting it I have not had a single night that was anything but great sleep. In addition, I don't wake my wife tossing and turning. Finally, the company was GREAT to deal with. They delivered all that was promised.
GREAT sleep, GREAT sleep and GREAT customer service.

Queen 12" Therapeutic w/5" Memory Foam Mattress with DUAL AIR FLOW.
We've been sleeping on them for just at a month now. I can't imagine going back to an innerspring mattress. In the previous review, I said that I'd bought a 12" queen for my son in Dec of 2006. That mattress still looks brand new. I'm sold on this mattress. It sleeps great, makes up with nice square corners, and sleeps at a very comfortable temperature. When I ordered mine, I also ordered a 12" king & a 12" queen for my Mom & Dad's house. It took only four days to get them from California to our homes in East Texas on FedEx. My Mom & Dad both say that it's by far the best bed they've ever slept on. I've never slept better. My sister & brother-in-law were in town a couple of weeks ago and slept on the Queen in Mom & Dad's guest room. They couldn't stop talking about how well they slept. They also told me that they'd just spent over $1600 on a new innerspring set and that it didn't come close to the comfort of this $500 mattress.

Our inner-spring mattress was a premium pillow top model but had run it's useful life span (approx. 12 yrs). We were looking for a new mattress and were considering a Tempur-pedic but weren't looking forward to the cost. A friend of mine had recently purchased this mattress and recommended it.
For about half the cost of a decent inner-spring mattress and less than half of a Tempur-pedic, I thought what the heck. The mattress was delivered within a week. It came rolled up in a plastic wrap. There was a hole in the wrap and the mattress cover was dirty but not torn. We opened the shrink wrap and the mattress began to expand to it's normal size. There is an odor but it was not that bad and has dissipated over a week's time.
We are sleeping much better on the mattress. It truly does conform to your body and provide better support without the pressure points. I am 6'3 and 265lb. and I am completely comfortable on this mattress.
