This makes standup presentations much more effective. The range is over 50' so moving around and interacting with your audience is possible. The blank screen button quickly refocuses the attention on the presenter not PPT for impact. The volume control is convenient as is the timer to keep you on schedule. The only disadvantage is you can not use it like a mouse to click on a hyperlink in your PPT. This is a must for serious presenters.
Perfect for frequent presenters

I give a lot of presentations as a part of my job and the Logitech Presenter works really well and has a lot of nice features.
Pros: Start presentation button, blank screen buttons are handy for getting setup and started fast. The countdown timer with silent vibrate warnings is also very nice when you are in time-constrained situations. Storage of the USB receiver in the unit is also very convenient. Laser pointer is nice and the unit and its buttons are a good size for my hands.
Nice to have: Auto-off switch when you put the USB receiver in its storage slot in the unit. Right now there is a manual switch which prevents battery drain while not in use, but I could see potentially forgetting to switch that off from time to time.
Could be better: The soft case that comes with it is a good idea, but the one that came with mine is too small and the velcro closure barely reaches if I stretch it. Reposition the velcro and it would be perfect.

This presenter fulfilled all of my expectations. It is the best presenter on the market in my opinion.

I'm well satisfied with this presenter. I set up my Sundayschool powerpoints and the presenter works great from the back of the church, while I'm up front by the screen. Very good range. I would definitely recommend it. Jay

My first Presenter 2008-07-12
This is the first presenter I've purchased and have been completely happy so far. I've used the presenter several times for presentations and it has worked perfectly. It is easy to install and launch, and extremely easy to use. The plug and play works almost immediately after plugging the receiver into my laptop. The only issue I've had is the storable receiver is easy to insert into the presenter backwards -- and if done so is difficult to pry back out of the slot.
Fantastic Presentation Tool - so simple to use 2008-07-03
I first saw this product being used last month by a presenter at a conference I was attending in Slovakia.
It was so simple to set up and works great with my Dell Latitude D630 laptop running Windows XP Pro and MS Powerpoint.
No more will I have to fumble with advancing slides myself on my laptop when presenting, or having others to do it for me. The built-in laser pointer is another plus.
Get one - You will love it and wonder how you ever got along without it!

The product works great, but I purchased it under a mail in rebate offer. I sent in the rebate (doing everything it indicated to do) I love rebates because they save you a ton of money...I do them all the time, my parents even have me do there's because I always get them done on time and right. I never received my rebate (and for the first time in years I didn't make a copy MY BAD before sending it in. They refused my rebate so now I want you to know that ripped me off, and they were rude about
Logitech presenter saves the day! 2008-06-27
I was the session convener at a scientific conference when the pointer provided failed. A member of the audience handed her Logitech to the front of the room, I plugged in the transmitter and the laser and advance functions worked flawlessly for the rest of the session, on both Mac and PC computers. That's the toughest test for AV equipment I can think of - no setup, no training, it just worked intuitively for five speakers from multiple countries. I'm buying one for myself.
Excellent peice of device 2008-06-22
Just loved the idea of not installing any drivers or software to use this. Just plug and play. Helpful when any presentation runs from any other laptop than yours. Plug in the adapter in the laptop, laptop detects the presenter and yopu are ready to go. Vibrator on the presenter is an innovative idea but I don't use it much though.
Everything you would want from a remote presenter and more at a great price.
4 star because the cover which came along with this seems to be sub standard. One can see clearly that its stitches can come off anytime. Its one size small, but ok to go with..
