Editorial Review
The PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer combines beautiful image quality with exceptional printing versatility. One key to its impressive performance: Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses an innovative print head with 2,304 nozzles that eject consistent, precise ink droplets as small as 2 picoliters. More nozzles with high accuracy equal amazing results. This patented technology produces an outstanding resolution of up to 4800x1200 dpi, for superb detail and photo-realism. And for increased color accuracy, high-intensity Photo Cyan and Photo Magenta have been added to the conventional 4 inks. Be amazed at the improved photo results. The PIXMA iP6210D Photo Printer's built-in slots allows printing directly from compatible memory cards, and in this mode it automatically brightens faces, corrects for red eye and increases sharpness, as needed. Or, print directly from your PictBridge compatible digital camera or DV camcorder, with automatic face brightening. Simply shoot and print directly from a cellphone. And for Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones, PCs and PDAs, this versatile printer is Bluetooth compatible with the optional Bluetooth adapter allowing you to print from another room. When using any of these wireless options, images will automatically be enhanced for sharpness. Maximum 4800x1200 dpi with microscopic droplets as small as 2 picoliters Borderless 4x6 photo in approximately 1 minute Create stunning 4x6, 5x7 and 8.5x11 edge-to-edge, borderless photos Dimension - Width 17.3 x Height 6.8 x Depth 10.3 Inches Weight - 8.2 pounds

IT WAS FREE... 2007-05-29
I GOT THIS FREE FROM AMAZON FOR BUYING A DIGITAL CAMERA. PRINTS OUT OK PICS, BUT RAN OUT OF INK FAST!!!!!!!!

Good picture printout 2007-04-11
I have a hp photosmart 7660 which did not produce a picture as good as this canon printer.

Gross Logistics Tail 2007-04-07
Not a bad printer; I like the quality of print... but as said elsewhere, very expensive to maintain... Ink cartridges don't last long and are, as far as I can tell, more expensive.

A little disappointed in my printer upgrade 2007-03-24
I have been using a Canon i550 for several years now printing calendars for my family around xmas time. Each calendar is 13 pages and I print about 20 of them (13 x 20 x 2 sides = 520) at high resolution. I use a lot of ink and the Canon cartridges are easy to refill. The print head died on the i550, so I searched for a new Canon that had similar ink cartridges to refill.

Several of the PIXMA series have cartridges that look the same with the small difference that they have a chip on them. Instead of doing a visual check of the cartridge to determine if ink is low, the chip tells the printer driver after so many prints. Lame, but manageable !

The i550 had 1200 nozzles (if I remember correctly) and the iP6210D has 4800 (again, if I remember correctly). Anyway, I was expecting prints to be much better than the i550. The prints seemed to be about the same, so the extra nozzles didn't seem to make much difference.

The form factor is about the same, but there are a lot more buttons and features available. I don't ever print directly from memory card, so a lot of the features I don't use.

I was also hoping that the print speed of the borderless 8.5 x 11 prints that I use for the calendar would be faster. This printer doesn't seem to print much faster than the older Canon.

Overall it's a good printer, but the quality probably isn't much better than one of the lower end PIXMA printers.

RIPOFF!! Bad Deal Here 2007-03-19
I got the printer only to find that it doesn't come with a cord to connect it to your computer. After wasting my time going to three different places, the cheapest one was for $50.

Amazon's advertisement that this is "free" with the purchase of a camera is misleading to say the least as it's not honest about the extra $$$$ you have to spend just for a connecting cord. In my opinion, this has been very frustrating and a TOTAL RIPOFF!!

Very Expensive to Operate 2008-02-08
I printed about 50 4x6 pictures and the cartridges ran low. The cost of new cartridges is just about the same price as buying a new printer. The iP6210D is not worth the money, a poor value.

No drivers 2007-12-29
There are no Linux drivers for this printer. If you have this printer and run Linux, please contact tech support about the problem. They might get some sense, and produce drivers at some point. I've had the printer over a year, and no sign of drivers.

not a good choice 2007-12-18
The photos are nice (that is the only reason I give it two stars), but it uses ink like its going out of style and the cartrdiges are very expensive. If you replace both ink cartridges it is less expensive to buy a new printer. That's exactly what I did. This product is not recommended (if you can afford the ink you should be able to afford a printer with more features).

Good little printer... 2007-08-24
This printer came free with a digital camera I purchased from Amazon, and I have not been disappointed with the printer.

The printer came with everything I needed in the box to connect it to the computer, and it came with ink and software as well.

It prints about average speed, and has various print quality settings to choose from when printing photos.

For text, I have a B&W laser printer, but I kept this one for the occasional color document and for photos.

If I were looking for a photo printer, this one would not be my main choice, but it does a decent job for the occasional family photos.

The picture quality on photos is enough for my uses, but it is not quite as good as a more expensive printer would give, but good enough for framing a picture of our son to give grandpa, etc.

I enjoy the fact that you can plug a memory card directly into the printer to print pictures.

Overall, I am happy with the printer, especially since it was free for me!

Below average 2007-08-15
As everyone else is reporting, this printer is pretty expensive to maintain- the printer cartridges combined cost about $60 and that lasts me approximately 2-3 months. I print only a few pages a day, typically only in fast-draft. I heard about Walgreen's new inkjet refilling that costs a fraction of buying a new cartridge, but of course these cartridges are excluded from most of the Canon's being able to be refilled. Finally, I have had my printer for 9 months and after about month 5, my photos are often printed with smears on the front and back of pictures (even after using the printer's neat tools to fix smearing problems). Consequently, I highly reccomend not purchasing this printer, even if it is a good deal- in the end, it's not cost-effective or worth your money at all.
