RESPeRATE is a breakthrough therapeutic breathing device cleared by the FDA to lower blood pressure. RESPeRATE is: Clinically proven to reduce high blood pressure within 30 days. Not a drug and has no side effects; Pleasant and easy to use; Guaranteed to lower your blood pressure or your money back. Using RESPeRATE's interactive breathing exercise for just 15 minutes, 3-4 times per week, delivers a significant all-day blood pressure reduction. Proven to Work: RESPeRATE has been written about in many leading medical journals, magazines, and books, including the American Heart Association's, "Hypertension Primer" and the Mayo Clinic's, "On High Blood Pressure". RESPeRATE's therapeutic benefit was validated in six separate clinical studies, delivering an average reduction of 14/9. Thousands of patients are using and witnessing the benefits of RESPeRATE. RESPeRATE utilizes a patented technology to pace your breathing from the normal range of 14 to 19 breaths per minute to the "therapeutic zone" of under 10 breaths per minute. Within a few minutes into the exercise the muscles surrounding the small blood vessels dilate [relax], thereby allowing blood to flow more freely, resulting in lower blood pressure. The RESPeRATE's pacing technology, enables you to perform these therapeutic breathing maneuvers effortlessly. Your breathing returns to normal after each session but the beneficial impact on your blood pressure accumulates. With regular use of the RESPeRATE significant and sustained reduction in blood pressure can be achieved. Know someone with high blood pressure? it works 2008-07-02
If you use it each day... 15 minutes... your blood pressure will lower. Unless you experience it yourself, it may be hard to believe.

Not worth the money - higher tech snake oil 2008-04-26
Doesn't work any miracles, but it provides a nice, soothing break. Allow me to save you a couple hundred dollars: learn to count your breaths--breathe in to 4-6 beats. Exhale for 10-15 seconds. Do this for 20 minutes and it can lower your blood pressure maybe 10 points (on top). But drop it below 120/80? I haven't experienced that.

Resperate 2008-04-05
The product did help lower my blood pressure but when I told my doctor he didnt want me using it because I have an irregular heartbeat.

Excellent Product ... 1 Thing to watch out for 2008-03-23
This is an excellent product that I've been using for 15 months. I use Resperate several times a day. My blood pressure was rising, typically reading around 135/90. Resperate alone brought that down to a normal level. Since then I've improved my exercise program, diet, and added dark chocolate drinks (that's pure cocoa and hot water). My normal blood pressure now is usually around 115/75.

Here's a prescription that can't hurt you. Use Resperate, stretch, watch your favorite comedy show while sipping a half a glass of red wine (or relaxing beverage of choice). Use Resperate and stretch again. In doing so I've seen my blood pressure drop to ridiculously low levels like 100/62.

Ok, here's the gottcha. I don't recommend ever letting your breathing rate drop below 4.5 breaths per minute (will vary per individual), especially right before bed (the manufacturer suggests never dropping below 5 BPM). I've experienced sleep apnea after doing so (which I've never experienced any other time). It's a temporary thing and only an annoyance, but easily avoided. If you do like to use Resperate right before bed, be sure to maintain a high enough breathing rate for you or work in 5 minutes of stretching or some light activity (even brushing your teeth) before you actually go to sleep. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem so I could be unique.

It's great. It helped lower my blood pressure by 10 points. 2008-03-08
I followed the breathing tones and slowed down my breathing to around 6 per minute. My blood pressure came down from 135/88 to 120/78 in 2 weeks.

Ya Know - I think it's working, but I've only had it 3 weeks 2008-02-15

Does the job! 2008-02-09
Have used it for 3 weeks - seems to be working. Takes time but does reduce blood pressure.

RespeRate Review 2008-02-01
I purchased this item at the end of December of 07. I have used it almost every day since for 15 minutes. Blood pressure has dropped by 15-20 points on the high side and about the same on the low. I have also cut my blood pressure medication in half. Before using this I was having trouble controling blood pressure. You have to use it regularly to get results.

No one talks about this -- This Unit is NOT A VALUE 2008-01-30
There are a lot of good reviews here on Resperate. A number of them sound so good they could have been "placed" here by the manufacturer.

Look, I have no doubt that Resperate will make a reduction happen for many people who use it, because the idea is sound. It's based on good science-that meditation reduces blood pressure readings.

But let's take a look at what you get here. This is basically a $30 Chinese CD player being sold with a built in "tune" for $300. It is NOT a quality product. I used it for two months, got a small reduction in my blood pressure readings. But the first unit I received was defective within a week, and the second one looked like it was going to have the same problems. Physically, it is not made well. It's chintzy. And when I spend $300 for an electronic device, MAN that thing had better be cool, and really made well. In this case, the little plastic piece that has the digital readout on it came off, the earphone jack had to be held in only a certain way in order to work, and the cheazy little monitor thing that goes around your chest is actually hard-wired right into the case, which is crazy because it is prone to shorting out. So, in short, you'd have to be really nutty to keep this thing after the 30 day evaluation because its "self-destruct" mode starts kicking in about then. The company has a great $100 product here, but they put an extra $200 into the retail price so that they could promote the heck out of it. Even the headphones that come with it are so cheaply made that they fall apart faster than the units that they give away in airline seats.

What you get with Resperate is something that you could have for free just by sitting in a chair and slowing down your breathing. What you DON'T get is quality. This is a device equivalent to what you'd get for $25 or $30 in a WalMart if you were buying some kind of electronic gadget. Cheazy and without any similarity to something worth $300. And for those who believe that the blood pressure result is what you are paying for, and not the unit itself, you can get EXACTLY the same results by spending $20 on a meditation/breathing CD and listening to it an hour or two a week.

Yes, it does work! 2008-01-25
I don't know why, but Amazon never posted my review, so I will try again.

First let me say that I am in no way affliated with InterCure, the maker of the Resperate. I am just an average person who was looking for a way to lower his blood pressure without using drugs and enduring their dreaded side effects.

To make a long story short, I was desperate to lower my blood pressure. It was peaking at 150/100 during the most stressful part of my day. Well, after using the Resperate device for about 2 months, my blood pressure has dropped to an average of about 115/75!

I have not experienced any side effects. But, there have been some additional benefits, such as improved sleep, mental clarity, and stress relief.

If you are reading this most likely you are trying to lower your blood pressure. You have nothing to lose by trying the Resperate. Go for it!
