decent CD/DVD case
2008-09-22
For the price, it is a decent (and only decent) CD/DVD holder.
It is by no means a Case Logic, not even close.
You can get better items than this

When all the pockets of this case are full, you can not close the zipper. Then you have to figure out what you can remove and how you fit max. no. of cds.
Good

I would say the product is good.
As complained by others, that it is difficult to close with the case full of discs. This problem can be solved by completely taking out the zip liner before closing. When the product is delievered the end of the liner is pushed into the case and hence it makes it difficult to close.
Overall the product is good for the value.
Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money on this. I sent it back to Amazon.com for a complete refund and didn't pay a dime to return it. It is defective to the max. Read the reviews. It won't close. It strongly stinks. When I bought mine, it was on sale for 10 with a rebate of 10. I paid no shipping because I have prime. I did not appreciate being insulted with such an extremely low quality defective item, so instead of going for the rebate, which would have taken weeks to get my money back (to make it a "free item") I immediately sent it back to Amazon to get a refund. If only Amazon would offer a zero star option.... as many of it's customers have requested for years.
CD/DVD case by Xtreme

The product is of a high quality material, and the zipper is heavy duty and has not jammed in the time since I purchased this product
what's the point of 96 sleeves? I CAN'T CLOSE THE CASE!!
2006-06-23
If selection is a priority--and if you're a music fan, it surely is--this Xtreme CD/DVD case makes a great traveling companion. Each of the case's 24 double-sided storage sleeves can stow up to four discs (two on each side), or listeners can configure them to hold CDs and DVDs in half the pockets and booklets in the other half. More importantly, the case protects your media from damage thanks to its sturdy rubberized outer layer that's resistant to heat, moisture, and tearing. The durable construction ensures that your discs are perfectly safe even if you forget them in your car on a warm afternoon. The interior of the case also contributes to your discs' wellbeing, as each sleeve is lined with a soft, scratch-free backing. Once you're ready to hit the road, merely zip up the closure for safekeeping and grab the reinforced rubber handle. The case is also valued for its relatively compact size, which takes up about as much space as the average day planner. Can 96 jewel cases say the same? So whether you're stocking up on music and movies for a West Coast road trip or you just want to do away with jewel cases and compress your collection, this Xtreme case is a perfect fit.
Decent, but not what I would consider good for CDs/DVDs
2006-06-10
Well the quality is really that great. The zipper felt like it would break off if I pulled it a bit too hard. As for some commenting on the smell; yup, it smells. It smells a bit like chemicals (I assume that is because the outside of the case seems to be made with nylon or something).
As for 96 CDs/DVDs; I don't think it's impossible to get 96 in there, but I wouldn't recommend you put 96 of your most preciouse CDs/DVDs in there as it gets really cramped. Right now I am using mine for copies of old software, old mp3 backups, etc. Basically stuff that I wouldn't be worried if it got hurt. The pages are too short from the edge to the inner part of the binder, and that is what makes it hard to fit 96 in there. The case get's really cramped and you aren't able to flip through the pages very easily.
I give it a 2 based on the fact that it is usable, and I got mine from Amazon for a really great price. IMHO, I wouldn't pay more than five bucks each for these; I didn't when I purchased , and that is why I got them.
Nothing too fancy but OK for the price

I think the price after rebate would be the true price for such a product. I agree with some of the earlier reviews about the durable material and cool looking handle... but I disagree about the smell.
Althought the 96 case looks big, it is actually quite cramped. I have stocked it to half its capacity and can imagine the problem when it will be full. A definite design fault.
Also the material of the lining and the disc jackets leave a lot to be desired for. The width is just right but then there is not gutter space for them to fold...so I am (and will be) worried about the discs when I fill the case with more discs. And the height of individual disc sleeves is exactly the size of the disc, which is not a good thing...it should be slightly more. The inside sleeve is common to both sides (2 discs on each side) and the material seems standard but quite flimsy, making it prone to tears if not handled carefully...this is especially the case because the discs fit in quite tightly. The tight fitting is not a bad feature per se, but the design of the sleevs and the whole case makes the discs prone to be rubbing against the zipper (a definite no...so I have to be extra careful everytime I slide in or out a disc).
Overall, seems to be a durable product. The quality of "design" should have focussed more on end user. Hopefully the other bigger cases are not like this one.
Don't fall in the number

This product seems to be very cheap(...) as we expect it to hold 96 CD/DVD. But the truth is that it doesn't even hold 50 cd/dvd becoz of its poor design. You can comfortably keep 45 CDs without breaking any CD. Don't ever attempt to keep more than that, you'll end up in breaking your valuable cds. The main problem is due to the lesser width of the case; and the manufacturer never paid attention to the anticipated width after keeping 96 cds.
The inner part of the sleeve seems to be very rough which may damage your cds. So stay away from this product.
Good price and quality. Terrible smell!

Can't beat the price. Quality is good. Smell stinks!
