Editorial Review
d_skin Protective Disc Skins are a totally new, totally necessary product that acts as a protective Skin for all your favorite discs. Once your discs are skinned, there is nothing to take off to play your discs, nothing to put on when you store your discs - one product protects them all the time! How do you use them? Just snap one of these onto your music, movie, game or data CDs and consider them protected. The amazing Liplock Seal snaps onto the edge of any standard size disc and holds tight. Leave your d_skin Protective Disc Skin on while you play away - outside and inside your media players. Seriously. Your discs are totally readable right through the Skin. The beauty is, once your discs are skinned, if you scratch them, you just toss the damaged Skin and snap on a fresh one. Your entertainment survives!!

Excellent product 2008-01-14
These disc skins are excellent for cd and dvd protection. My son used up all 100 disc skins from a previous order in a matter of days. He asked for more. This seller had the best prices around. The shipment was completed in a timely manner. Thank you for offering this product.

Junior High Media Specialist 2007-12-14
As a junior high school media specialist with numerous CDs and DVDs for teachers and students to borrow, D_Skins are invaluable for preventing damage and scratches to these expensive materials while they are loaned out for classroom instruction and (teenage) student use. The protection which the D_Skins provide is definitely worth their cost. (I also use D_Skins to protect my home CD and DVD collection.) They are fantastic!

Disc Skins 2007-11-25
Purchased for use in a school library with multiple users (100+) and with various DVD players. Disc Skins save our DVDs from wear and tear and keep them in good condition. They work with any DVD player except the kind with the slot that "sucks in" the CD or DVD as you start to feed it into the slot. Highly recommend this product, especially in schools or in families with children and teens.

Save a CD or DVD 2007-10-13
This is the best solution to saving CD's and DVD's from getting scratched! Doesn't work with games very well.

...Eh... Not so much 2006-11-04
I picked them up for an Xbox 360 since the 360 is notorious for scratching discs, even while the system is stationary. The skins did take the brunt of the console abuse, scratching the skins and not the games. The problem is that there is play in the size of the skin compared to the disc (understandable since you have to squeeze it over the disc.) The problem with the play is it creates an effect like a warped disc, that the laser cannot read through. If you leave the covered disc in the 360 long enough, it heats up enough to smooth the back out a bit. It's just a hassle making it just right so that the game will play. It may work with less data intensive media like CDs.

Best thing since.... DVD's 2008-05-11
These things are great... The only negative I have with these is that you must install them correctly. People who complain about them getting stuck in their dvd player or skipping usually have one of the following issues:

1. They are not installed correctly, the sides are very thin and if you don't have the lip around the whole CD, it can wobble or be unreadable.

2. They will not magically repair a dirty or scratched CD, and in a bad mechanism can be scratched themselves. Make sure your CD is clean and reliable BEFORE you put the skin on.

3. The skin is dirty. Handling the CD skin has the same repercussions as handling a cd. If you drop it, sneeze on it, have oatmeal on your hands, the skin will get dirty..

A GREAT invention... Everything I own has one of these on it. I can't afford to buy another copy of Shrek for my kids.

To good to be true 2008-04-27
I would never purchase this product again. They did not work on cd's. And I used them on a new dvd in our van and when I went to eject the movie it was stuck. I had to have my dvd player replaced because of it.

Spending $$ to Save $$ 2008-02-07
I'm not very good at taking care of my DVDs - I keep them in a binder instead of their cases, and sometimes they sit around on tables, bookcases, etc, for awhile before making it back to the binder. I hoped that the DSkins would protect my movies so that I didn't have to worry about replacing them due to my negligence. I'd rather spend a few cents per disk to keep them protected than have to shell out the money to buy a new copy.

I was initially worried using the DSkins because I have a MacBook slot-loading DVD drive and I was afraid the DVD might get stuck inside my computer. However, I underestimated my drive's performance and so far I haven't had a problem. I cleaned each of the DVDs before putting on the DSkin in order to avoid any debris getting trapped between the disk surface and the skin. My only issue is that there were a few small tears in the plastic around the center hole of several skins, but the tears aren't long enough to reach the data surface of the disk.

I have a lot of movies and only recently finished covering them, so obviously I haven't had a chance to test out each disc. However, if the performance I've seen so far remains consistent, I'll be well satisfied! I recommend these to anyone who doesn't always treat their CDs and DVDs with the care they deserve ;-p

They work very well, last quite a while and are easy to put on the games and cd's. A very good price for them too.
