OK electronics, junky case
2008-05-06
The good: range is ok, it's loud enough to hear.
The ok: no volume control, and the sound is a little too loud for the amplifier, so the sound is slightly distorted (like your stereo turned up too loud).
The bad: the case for the transmitter comes in two pieces that didn't fit together. After I took a knife and shaved off some of the plastic, I could get the front to clip onto the back, but it's still not a very solid fit and I worry about it falling off. Meanwhile, the included screws are apparently made out of butter; using an electric screwdriver, I stripped the head of the first one so badly I had to use pliers to remove it, and then using a normal screwdriver that fit perfectly and being very careful, I was still barely able to get the other screws in.
Sunnybell ST60 is the best!!!

Loud and clear, that's all you could ask for a doorbell, ST60 certainly meets the standard, if not above it. Better than I'd expected. Would buy more if needed. I like the strobe light option too especially when I am watching a movie or listening to my favorite music, 5 star all around.
Door chime

After three weeks the light started flashing on it's own, a week later it started chiming on it's own. A complete waste of my money.
"Made in China"
2008-04-15
I couldn't get the sound to change from the default Westminster to the single tone. The instructions are not very clear on this. I tried to contact the company and was unable to, first because I couldn't get the feedback form to accept my e-mail address, and then after I got it to accept a third e-mail address, an error message came up that said "You cann't (sic) sent message now". So now what? They have a telephone number, but it's to China!
Great simple doorbell
2008-01-30
This is a great, simple and easy-to-hear doorbell with three different chimes to it. I personally stuck to the simple "ding" since the entire Westminster might be a bit cheesegratery on the nerves, and it works just fine. Using it in a second floor apartment; the receiver is mounted outside under an awning, so I can't say much for its ruggedness, but it survives the cold just fine.
Five stars because I lost the manual pretty early after my purchase and decided to change jumpers; a quick visit to the Sunnybell site and a short email to them later, I was the proud owner of a scanned copy the very same day. Now that's great support!
Glad I got it!

This bell works great. I don't use the strobe, I just needed a wireless bell that I could hear anywhere in the house. This one is loud enough to hear from outdoors were the button is. The battery to run it is also reasonably priced and has lasted.
overpriced; good product; bad setup instructions
2008-06-04
good product but very bad setup instructions. I couldn't understand it and misinterpreted it..and because of that the bell was just sitting in my closet until i could find enough time to decode the setup instructions. it was a frustrating experience. the bell works well and i am satisfied with its performance. A bit overpriced.
Nightmare
2008-06-01
The first thing I noticed when I received this doorbell is that it appeared to have been opened by someone before me. (A return??) The instructions were completely inadequate, and that's putting it mildly. If I were trained in electronics I might have been able to make sense of it, maybe. I returned it (still waiting for a response) and went to Menards. I found something there for a few dollars more and installed it in minutes. My first bad experience with a purchase on Amazon. Noone's fault but the manufacturer.
Sunnybell ST60 product review
2008-05-27
This wireless door bell worked fine upon battery installation. However, the pushbutton cover does not snap closed to hold the front and back halves of the unit together. I had to use a patch of duct tape to hold the front half to the back after mounting the back to the frame by the door. Additionally, the button uses an unusual 12 volt battery that is not available everywhere and finding a replacement may take some effort. The Bell unit has a single slot to hang on a wood screw (provided) but once the 3 standard "C" batteries are installed, the balance is off and the wall unit hangs at an angle. Thus far I have given this product a 3-star rating but that might upgrade to 4-stars if the batteries last for four to six months.

I like this doorbell, it works great. Especially the strobe light, very nice. Good design, would buy more if needed.
