Waste of money
2007-12-21
I have purchased two of these twice (I didn't learn the first time), and all four burned out after only a short time--around 4 to 5 weeks. I would NEVER consider buying them again--poor design or poor quality. Buy them if you want, but my experience is that you will waste your money.
Little too bright for bedroom
2007-11-28
These lights work well for a hall or bathroom
because they put out a fair amount of light. But
for my bedroom I thought it was too bright, I ended
up preferring one of those old fashioned florescent
green lights that have a much softer glow.
An Excellent Light Source

Multi Directional, Bright, Takes up minimal Outlit space, Provides enough light to navigate in the bathroom, bedroom & kitchen w/out turning on more energy using main lights at night! Recommended to Friends & Family
Shedding a little light on the subject

Ultra efficient blueish LED light bright enough to be an effective night light. The head spins around so you can direct the light where it's most needed. Not really much point in having it automatically shut off.
Problem with ambient light sensitivity and ...
2007-10-06
I bought 3 of these night lights on May 06. One of them has already burned out (Oct 07).
A problem common to each light was that they remained on most of the time, even in situations where the ambient light was of sufficent level to read a newspaper. It would take direct light from lamp or sunlight to turn the nightlights off.
The only good quality was low power consumption.
It's OK

The bathroom that I bought this for is dark, but had enough ambient light in the daytime. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, so the light stayed on all the time. I stopped using it in that room because it wound up being overly hot to the touch, and I didn't want it to potentially cause a fire.
Convenient and energy efficient night light

Despite the unusual appearance, this is very convenient and works well. My kids love theirs.
Great addition to my home
2008-05-23
Tired of flipping on-and-off lights to move around my home at night I decided to purchase about a dozen of these nightlights. I plugged at least one in each room and wow - they really do the trick. They cast a nice, soft glow all through the house and hardly use any electricity at all.
I put one each in each of my kids' rooms as well. They're great for children because they don't heat up like a normal bulb does.
On a more personal note, just one in the bathroom lets me 'get up and go' at night without blinding myself by switching on the lights!
Fascinating little light

Highly pleased with the lights. They are actually brighter that you might think - we have one in the master bath (and two in the garage) and we have to shut the door partially to block some of the light! Highly recommend these for use and power savings.
Don't they look a little Extra-Terrestrial?
2008-02-09
Unusual shape for a night light but we like it. Shuts off during the day, starts early evening. Can be rotated to face up or down and it looks (probably just me) somewhat robotic or extra-terrestrial. Anywhoo, it works just fine and is a proud member of our recent new and improved collection of night lights, which include other kinds that do colors in a cycle and one that puts out a show of lights at night. Never occurred to me these things could be fun but they surely are. 4 Stars, no less.
