Great Headphones -- Worth Every Penny! 2008-06-16
I got these headphones through the Pepsi Points system and I feel that Amazon's price system is perfect. I own a pair of Sennheiser eH 150's. There is not a huge different in either pairs. Both quality. The HD 201's handle Treble better, while the eH 150's handle the BASS better. It is simply by what preference you enjoy. I would buy these headphones again and again due to how good they are.

Do not buy these. 2008-06-11
Spend the extra $20 on the HD212s. You will not regret it.

I got these with my PepsiStuff points, in which case, they're a decent value for the money. They're certainly not terrible headphones. I'm no audiophile, but I'd say the quality is decent. But they're far more uncomfortable than the 212s. They feel hard, don't adjust well, and the headphones are too small to completely encapsule your ear, but too big to settle on them nicely. My ears hurt after only about half an hour of listening.

The volume is also comparatively poor. Using them with my Zune, an 18-19 volume level is about equal to a 12 on the 212s.

Also, the 212s have detachable wires. I've stepped on the chord a few times while they've been plugged in to my computer, bending the jack, but I was able to buy replacements. The wires on these are not detachable.

If you really can't spend a penny more, you could do worse. Otherwise, go for the better models. It really is worth it.

Great sound and value 2008-05-29
Best headphones I ever owned for the money! These phones are so monitory. You hear all details across the spectrum very well, also in the bass range right down to the lowest. Music sounds really, really good with great detail. I don't understand the complaints I've seen in reviews about lacking (lower) bass, it's not true at all i.m.h.o. And in case you WANT more bass, just turn up the bass because it handles bass REAL good (and I can tell as a lover of techno music). Then it delivers deep bass on a silver plate. As for treble, the sound is not too bright. They go loud as well, free of distortion I mean, just not super loud. I use a dedicated headphone amplifier by the way and listen to a broad range of music styles. I used the HD201s for over half a year now. But really, they're worth every cent.

amazon did great 2008-05-28
I got these with pepsi points. When I got them the left side was cutting in and out. I called Amazon they credited my account and I ordered a new pair. Hopefully, these one will be ok.

WOW I have missed out for a long time!! 2008-05-27
I have always just listened to the "ear buds" or head phones that came with the device I had bought, not any more. These give a much better sound than I had expected. I will use them for a ton of my around the house chores as well as while at work. I used them while cutting wood and the roar of a chainsaw was but a little hum while listening to my Ipod. Very nice purchase considering I used my Pesistuff points. I would recomend them to anyone who can't afford the higher priced head phones. GREAT DEAL for the bucks!!

Why I Gave These 5 Stars? 2008-06-30
I was somewhat skeptical when purchasing these headphones despite the number of 5 star reviews. Mainly I was concerned with the low output these supposedly gave. I read many reviews stating that one had to turn the volume on their media device to maximum volume or close to it, just to get a reasonable listening volume from the headphones. This isn't the case for me. I'm not sure if other reviewers are using outdated technology or what, because I did not have to change the volume on my laptop at all. The same volume I use for the built in laptop speakers works perfect when I plug in these headphones. It's no different when using my Zune either; both the stock earbuds and these headphones require the same volume.
As for sound quality, they give you all the lows, mids and highs one could ask for. Obviously, there is better quality sound out there, but for more $$ of course.
If you somehow find my review out of the 200 already on here you should know that these are worth the $25 --they look, sound, and feel good. They deserve 5 stars.

Sound good, block out noise & are comfortable 2008-06-30
These earphones sound fine and do a good job of shutting out extraneous sound. The are very comfortable. I use them with a digital piano.

If you have the points to spare, 2008-06-27
get these headphones. They're well worth the 125 points, the sound is clear and you can hear the bass quite well. The padding is very comfortable and you start to forget you're even wearing them. I especially love the long chord, many times when you get headphones the chord is too short and it makes things awkward but with these it's fantastic. I truly recommend you get these if you're in need of some great headphones.

Excellent product!!! 2008-06-27
I received this item as part of the PepsiStuff promotion as a reward item. I tried the headphones with my laptop and found that the sound was excellent, even at low volume. I had to turn down the volume on my laptop because it gave an excellent volume response, more than I was comfortable with until I turned the laptop volume down. I am not one to have my headphones at a level so that people 100 feet away can hear what you are listening to, but I did have the volume up for a short time and didn't notice any distortion. I had the TV on at the time I was using them and had no problems hearing my music at reasonable volume. There is an extra long cord on the unit, but I view that as a plus. A short cord is OK until you might want to be a litte further away from your stereo or home entertainment system, then you are out of luck. With these headphones, you have the extra length you need to watch TV in bed without bothering your spouse, play your computer game from the recliner instead of the desk chair (with a wireless controller, of course), or anything else where the extra length is a godsend. For more normal use where you don't need the extra cord length, just take a twist tie and secure the unneeded length or just leave it the way it comes in the package.

I am not a music snob but I found these headphones to be an excellent value if you purchased them at the listed price on Amazon.com. Of course, if you get them free from the PepsiStuff promotion, like I did, that is even better!!!

Amazing! 2008-06-21
I love these. Comparing them side by side with another set I have (VR3) you can definately tell the difference. Good Treble and Bass response. That's the difference between a good and ok headphone. You want to hear the full range of the music. These do that.
