A little about this item.

I like these headphones, but they bother/hurt my ears to wear them properly. I have to hang them off the tops of my ears so not to hurt my ears. I am a little disappointed with the distance/range they have. I think they have trouble picking up signal through walls, but they do not reach the full thirty feet they say they do. Also I think it depends on the power of the device you are listening to as to how high the volume gets. With my computer they work great, and are loud, but I do not have volume control. With my psp I had some signal lose for a little bit, but it seemed to correct itself, and also no volume control. With my mp3 player they barely work at all. I get an interrupted signal constantly, and low volume with no control over it either. I run them with the Anycom Bluetooth Audio Gateway (Bag-100) I got separately. I must say that with the pc they work great except for distance. With the psp they are good as well except the volum could be higher, but over all I am satisfied.
This is not the current model

The model being sold is from the first generation in appearence and the second generation in electronics. The difference between the two is the hard frame between the ear pieces which becomes a wire in the second, giving a modern 767 airline feel to the headset. I prefer the hard frame so the fact I got a first generation headset was OK. The second generation electronics had me going to the website to get the latest codes for the LED. There seems to be some issues with the microphone and scatternet. Since I don't try to answer phone calls while listening to audio those are non-issues to me.
Anycom Bluetooth Headphones
2006-11-22
This product is well designed and works easily with my Motorola bluetooth usb adaptor (which uses Broadcomm software). There is an optional Anycom "general audio gateway" BAG-10 which works with any 3.5 mm audio jack. You can find it at [...]. The "one star" review could have solved their problem using this device. The anycom site says that the headphones come bundled with the audio gateway, but I didn't see this until after I had bought the set.
Pluses: It has an easily removable and exchangable battery and a kit is availible with another charger and battery, although I've never run it out of juice...
When used with a general bluetooth usb adaptor (on a Windows XP machine), the buttons control WinDVD and the Windows Media Player to pause, stop, and move between chapters.
I had to "pair" it without the microphone installed for those features to work, but that may have been something I did, or didn't do...
It comes with a mic so you can use it with a phone. And it switches to the phone and pauses the music on the pc, and then switches back when the call is ended.
Another really nice feature is that the behind the head plastic piece is removable and can be replaced with included eyeglass style ear hooks. They are far preferable when laying down.
In general, the set is much better than the Logitech bluetooth product, which broke in the middle of the behind the head piece after about a week of use, and only has a behind the head mode. It hurt to use laying down, but only for a week!
Minuses: the two drawbacks are the price, compared to the ~$30 usd Logitech product, and the sound, compared to a good set of over the ear headphones. But when you're using headphones in public, a good set of over the ear headphones are kind of anti-social, and I couldn't find a set of bluetooth ones, anyway.
Do NOT buy for iPaq use!
2006-06-08
I have an iPaq RX3115. It finds the headphones via bluetooth OK, but says "This device does not have any usable services". I contacted tech support, which actually answered the phone, but didn't know anything. They just search the tech support site for an answer.
They said my iPaq must need new software, but I am up to date with bluetooth drivers and it still won't work.
Basically, the tech support guy said sorry, you're on your own, so the headphones are going back to Amazon. I looked at their tech forum (buyers with problems asking each other for help) and noted the same problem for several other models of iPaq.
If they worked, I would probably give 4 or 5 stars. The contruction is good and they are designed well, but if they make no sound, whats the point? Don't buy these unless you are sure they will work, but there is no way to do that, so, DON'T BUY!
unchained

setting up the software required 2 tries because microsoft tried to help, but IF you read the instructions (I know, how blase!) the install works fine. Nice little headphones, will probably get another set for work. The range is not huge but is considerably larger than ones with a cord, and if you get disconnected you have to reconnect, it is not automatic, but, for the price, they do the job.
Too much Static and Noise

I bought this primarily planning to use it as a headphone with my laptop. There is lo of static noice and clearly the music quality is very poor.
A Bad Egg?

These headphones spent all of about 3 hours in my possesion. Fortunately amazon has offered a full refund.
They proved extremely hard to pair with my laptop. I had to try over and over again. I kept getting a message saying that no devices were found, or that it would find the headphones and tell me no services were detected.
Eventually it did pair with the laptop. However when it connected the sound was VERY choppy. I would hear 1 second of sound followed by 2 seconds of silence.
Furthermore the 1 second of sound wasn't of very good quality.
Decent, but not for Palm Centro even with Audio Gateway
2008-01-09
This is a decent set, but with my Palm Centro I can only use it as a hands-free phone device, not A2DP stereo headphone (this is a Centro problem, though). I wear ITC hearing aids, so I needed something to go over the ear. These work great and I only look a little bit like Princess Leia when wearing them. They aren't like the big cans.
For my Palm Centro, I couldn't use them for music unless I downloaded the $20 Audio Gateway software (www.softick.com) (there is a demo). It was very erratic, sometimes working fine, sometimes being scratchy, sometimes cutting in and out. I could call, though. And, for hearing aid wearers, it's nice being able to use both ears to hear the other end.
I would not rely on these to work with any Palm, but if you have another phone they would probably work fine. I'm trying to pair them with my computer, too, but haven't succeeded yet.
The main reason I give these a 3 instead of 4 stars is the microphone that you have to remove to charge. I think it could get lost easily. I leave mine plugged in when not charging, but I'd rather have had one that hides up next to the earpiece like some other models have. If you can live with that, these sound good and if you are reasonable with your electronics, they are plenty strong.
Great Headphones

These headphones are great. They have good distance, good battery, and excellent sound-- on their stereo feature. I have not tested the voice features.
