Dewalt Miter saw brackets
2008-02-11
I am not a big fan of Dewalt but this miter saw workstation is a great tool I have tried others and they don't compare I have 3 miter saw and bought brackerts for all 3 saws. The miter stand was $143.oo at home cheepo and lowes.
Would be 5 stars if reasonably priced

These are well-engineered for exactly what they do. But come on, it's a folded piece of steel and some plastic! I got an extra set so I could mount my thickness planer to the DW723 miter saw stand. Works well for that purpose, and I may do the same for a couple of other benchtop tools.
Great addition to the best mitersaw stand

TO ALL YOU "MISSING BOLT" WHINERS:
How is DeWalt supposed to know what your are going to mount with these brackets?!?!
Get a grip, morons . . ..... . the cost of 4 bolts is CHICKEN FEED and you can mount anything you want to with the appropriate bolts ... . .. . . SPEC'D AND SUPPLIED BY YOU, THE USER.
I'm glad Tool Crib/Amazon made them available because getting parts from DeWalt has been a pain.
I have two favorite miter saws (1 DeWalt, 1 Makita) and this saves a LOT of time over remounting to one set of brackets. Get a set of brackets for each tool you want to mount!
Amazon delivers . . . pronto.
(Did I say the DW723 is the best mitersaw stand in the free world?)
FIVE STARS
No Bolts.

I bought these to put on another miter saw I use on the jobsite. I was a surprised to find out that it did not include the carriage bolts to attach the brackets to the miter saw. Other than that, they work great when you need to change saws on the same saw stand.
new type stand and brackets

I could not find a new base for my old Dewalt stand to mount my second saw onto so I purchased the new stand and a second set of brackets so that I could mount both of my saws. they worked out great and are much easier to mount the saw on to the stand than the old base plate stand. the only problem that I have is that they raise the saw higher than my old saw base so they will not fit in the space that I made for my saws but that is my problem. the brackets work great.
I want more.

These things are great. First I had a set for my DeWalt miter saw, then I used another set to install a stone cutter on my miter workstation to get it up off the ground. I want a few more sets so that I can mount other useful tools where my old back can make better use of those tools.
Great product

I needed a second set of these for another saw. Great product. Another good job by Dewalt.
Needed: Missing bolts

Nice product but throw in the bolts Dewalt. It needs four 5/16" x 2" carriage bolts like someone else pointed out. Throw in four 5/16" flat washers and four wing nuts and you have a nice solution.
Decent

Nice product but throw in the bolts Dewalt. It needs four 5/16" x 2" carriage bolts like someone else pointed out. Throw in four 5/16" flat washers and four wing nuts and you have a nice solution. I love the HW packaging too, they put 3 wingnuts in a plastic pack to make you buy two. Everyone is trying to screw the guy on the bottom out of the green stuff :) It all costs about $3 at HD and for the guy who said we are whiners complaining about the bolts it is not the $3 and heck probably $5 when you factor in the gas for my truck, however it is a big waste of a 45 minutes of my time to go fetch something that should be thrown in to start with. This hardware set I listed might not work for every saw but it will work for most and for sure my Dewalt saw. In high quantity these parts probably would cost Dewalt less than a $1, just add dollar to it's over priced tag to begin with and be done with it Dewalt. Bad PR for a lousy $1 worth of HW.
WHERE ARE THE BOLTS???

I absolutely love these brackets. But!!! I had to run to the hardware store to purchase the bolts needed to secure these brackets to my saw. I would strongly suggest to Dewalt to include the hardware for future sales.
