Many Uses

Upon purchasing this item, I had intended to use it just for my iPod in my car. Turns out this thing helps keep my GPS mount in place on my dashboard (which is smooth) so it isn't flying around when I turn. It was thicker than I was anticipating, but it also adds a shock absorbing factor which is a nice bonus. If you drive and don't have somewhere to put your iPod this is a nice alternative.

This is a very simple item, but works great! I love it! I use it for my iPod and my cell phone and I've never lost them to a turn yet!
iGrip -- A blessing in disguise 2006-11-14
It holds my sunglasses, cell phone, keys -- everything that I've tossed on it holds securely around corners, sudden stops -- whatever. My dashboard has a slight angle to it, but it holds beautifully. It's a wonderful invention at a wonderful price.
Disappointing

It sticks to my dashboard, but nothing else will stick to it. My iPod, sunglasses, cell phone, etc fall off. I've tried washing it off in the hopes that it would get stickier, but it didn't help. I think if my dashboard were perfectly flat it would work quite well, but if your car's dash is even slightly angled, forget about the iGrip working.

But this thing really does work great. My iPod (4g 40 gig) doesn't move at all even at high speeds on tight turns with a charging cable connected. I've got an Acura Integra. For this price, or even triple this price, it's great. I mean, I imagine that a ProClip system would be better, but that would run 13x more money plus shipping. Wow. I'd rather have this. It works great and is cheap.
