very accurate, sigh

I finally replaced my spring scale with this one. The WW34 is way way more accurate, repeatable, and all those things a scale should be.
Dang
Now I know how much way too many things weigh. I weighed myself a few times, it kept repeating the same measurement. That couldn't be true! Shoes. OK. A few repeats with and without holding the shoes. Sweatshirt, jeans ... maybe it's that cup of coffee, how much did I add there ...
You get the idea. It repeated all those measurements.
Now I can't blame the scale.
At least it looks good sitting there on the floor.
Great scale

These scales were sold on promotional display at our grocery store a year or so ago and I purchased one for myself. Since that time everyone who visits our house wants to know where to get one of these scales. However, I haven't been able to find them locally again. I got two more as Christmas gifts for family members that really wanted one. The order arrived the next day even though I selected two day shipping. Pretty impressive. The scale has been great for me. It weighs to the tenth of a pound (or you can change it to kg).
Accurate, consistent, clean looks, easy to read, weighs in 1/10 lb increments

We bought this digital scale to replace our analog scale thinking it would be easier to read and prettier to look at. It is both. It gives consistent readings to the tenth of a pound, meaning that it gives the exact same reading if I step off and back on a few minutes apart. I weighed our two cats (10.2 lbs and 10.7 lbs) and found that if weigh myself holding a cat, it displays the exact sum of our individual weights. My weight is consistent with our old scale, except that this scale gives a much more precise reading.
To use the scale, you must first tap it with your foot and wait two or three seconds for it to display 0.0. If you skip this part, it displays "Err" until you step off. This is of course different from a traditional scale, but it took only a few uses for it to become habit. It might be nicer if the toe tap wasn't required, and I deducted a star for that, but we wouldn't trade it back for an analog scale. Perhaps the tap is required to extend the battery life and/or to calibrate the scale to exact zero. There may be other digital scales that don't require the tap, but it really isn't that big of a deal for us.
This scale stinks.

This "Tap on scale activator" is annoying! We've had to "tap" it numerous times for the scale to even come on (if it ever does). Sometimes I give up trying and decide not to weigh myself, which defeats the purpose of me buying this scale to be sure I am keeping up with my weight on a weekly basis. It doesn't make any sense and I just want my scale to work when I step on it.
Very good scale

The scale matches up with the scale at my doctors office. My old analog scale lied to me and showed about 3lbs less. Sometimes it's nice to be lied to. sigh. lol. I really like that the scale gives your weight to the tenth as well, so you can track even small losses.
I really have no complaints about it. I don't have to kick it to turn it on either. All i do is step onto it with one foot then step off. It takes about 2 seconds for it to read 0 so i can step on it again to get my weight. It's really not a big enough inconvenience to even complain. Overall the scale serves its purpose, and i would recommend it.
Just what I was looking for

This is just what I was looking for. As a lifetime weightwatcher member this is perfect to help me keep on track. I love the fact that it gives you your weight in .1 lb increments. Does not have all of the memory features of some of the more expensive models, but I didn't need that. Also works good for someone who is larger and needs the ability to be able to weigh accurately as some scales fault at higher weights. I would highly recommend this scale.
Very accurate and reliable

The WW34 is a very good scale. I took it to my Weight Watchers meeting and stepped on the very high priced scale at the meeting then stepped right on my WW34 scale and there was only a difference of 2/10 (that's two tenths!) of a pound. That is accurate as far as I am concerned. The price is very good and delivery was fast.
Exactly what I wanted! Accurate product!

I bought this product because my son is a wrestler and we need to know his EXACT weight to the 1/10 of a pound. This scale does it and the readings are always exactly the same as the $500 scale they use at school to weigh him. I am VERY happy w/ this purchase!
Scale seems fine - manufacturer's stupidity drops score
2008-01-15
Just received this scale from Amazon. As in the online descriptions, the scale's packaging coos about the scale being "sleek," "elegant" and "contemporary."
It would look great - if the manufacturer had not pasted a huge, red, stop-sign shaped sticker right in the center of the glass scale. And not a nice, easy to remove vinyl sticker for those who apparently can't figure out how to activate the scale. No, this is a cheap, impossible to remove without the expense of Goo Gone sticker. Contacted the corporate office to mention this idiot move - zero interest; told me I was calling after hours. Eventually made it past the busy signals of the customer-service 800 number and left them a message.
So, I'm looking forward to using my new scale. Just as soon as I go the hardware store, buy Goo Gone, and scrub off the cheap sticker, that is.
