Editorial Review
Feist is a Canadian songstress, hailing from Toronto. Her first album 'Let It Die', is produced by Renaud Letang & Gonzales. Feist has been Gonzales' fellow for years. Part of the Canadian collective band, Broken Social Scene, Gonzales convinced her to come to Paris to record this first album. The journey started in an out of time, out of norm atmosphere, whose lush grooves are offset by a thoroughly enjoyable live performance, with members of the Germany via Toronto Kitty-Yo crew such as Peaches, Gonzales, & Taylor Savvy. Features 11 tracks including the singles 'Mushroom' & 'One Evening'. Universal.

Feist first 2008-02-17
I bought this as a follow up to Reminder CD, becausethis is the one that most said brought attention to her before the Reminder CD came out. It is good, I like Reminder better.

Feist is truly exceptional 2008-01-28
Bought this after watching a couple of her videos on youtube and listening to The Reminder..In my opinion this is probably the better of the two albums, with the standouts being "Mushaboom" "One Evening" and "Inside and Out", which I was pleasantly surprised to find out is a Bee Gee cover..

All in all great album and great talent, Feist's voice is timeless.

Feist - Let it Die 2008-01-27
"Let it Die" is a great album from start to finish. I highly recommend it for listeners that might already be familiar with her latest album but are looking to go deeper into the Feist catalog. I prefer the original songs on this album to her covers but she does a great job performing all of them. Leslie Feist is a great artist that knows how to concoct a song with the right amount of passion, confidence, and vulnerability.

Feist 2008-01-20
I love Feist. The CD may be an oldie, but it's still a goodie.

Amazing CD; can't stop playing it! 2008-01-07
this is a delightful disc full of charming melodies and clever "pop" tunes. i'm in love with her distinctive voice. listening to this CD makes me just plain happy.

Beautiful, Wonderful, Gorgeous, Enchanting 2008-07-08
Simply one of the best CD's I've ever owned. Just a delight from start to finish, Feist's vocals are gorgeous without being sing songy. This album remains in a very small list of my all time favorite albums. Great songwriting and lovely melodies. Just perfect!!

A mesmerizing journey of music 2008-05-29
An absolute dream. A wonderful musical feast from a very gifted songstress. Buy this record. The perfect mix of pop, soft rock, folk, jazz and yes, even disco. It's a perfect 10. The Reminder isn't bad either, but you want to start with this, and most likely you will stick with this...like I did.

A work of musical art! Just about every song is worth hitting the repeat button! 2008-05-10
I first heard of Feist with Mushaboom on an online music program I had at work. No radio stations would ever play it and I could never remember her name to buy a CD! Finally, I was in a restaurant and heard Mushaboom on their dining room radio. After that I went and bought the CD just for that song. I ended up skipping over (and still do) Gatekeeper but love just about every other song on that CD. It's so real, the lyrics and even the instruments just pull you into her moment with the song. Even if you aren't deep into lyrics and all that, it's a fabulous CD and worthy of a purchase!

Love it! 2008-04-18
The songs are great, the energy is great. If you like Feist this is one of my favorite.

a gentle masterpiece. 2008-03-10
Another late to the dance review here, but I am glad I picked this up. Over the last 6 months, I have not been able to get this cd out of my car changer. At first you may feel this is a a bit lite to be taken so seriously. But "Let It Die" will keep pulling at you until you just accept the fact that this "is" a truly wonderful recording. I like this more than Reminder. It is more concise and the pace is just better.
