this is a great product. I gave the speaker pillow to a friend as a gift. She loves the fact that she does not have to use earbuds when she listens to her Ipod before bed. this product is quality built and has good sound quality.
At last! 2007-12-12
At last, I can go to sleep to my favorite music and not have to worry about ear phones.. just wrap my head in sound.. I love this product. And the CD that comes with it has beautiful, soothing music.
Good product, good price 2007-11-01
After the latest in a long string of earbuds stopped working, I looked for an alternative. This one had the best reviews and I took a chance. It has a heavy duty cord which should last much longer than the ultra-thin earbud wire. Ofcourse it works fine as an under the pillow speaker, but I've found it is more functional and comfortable to wrap it in a small pillow case and use it as a combination eye shade/speaker. The fidelity is better that way, too. The volume range is very good: from so low only I can hear to loud enough to be heard across the room. At the low level the sound is good for both voice and music; at the high level a bit tinny. Also, if something annoying is being broadcast on the radio it's easy to slide the speaker away from the ear slightly till it's over. At first I thought only one speaker was working; pulling the plug out slightly fixed that. I like it.

The design is very good. The sound is quite clear. Also, the cord connecting to your iPod or other device is fairly long, about three feet.
All in all, a top quality product.

I BOUGHT MY HUSBAND THE PILLOW SPEAK AS A SURPRISE. HE LIKES A SOUND MACHINE AT NIGHT AND I LIKE THE TV. NOW WE HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. HE TELLS EVERYONE ABOUT IT. "BEST GIFT EVER" HE SAYS. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED AN ADDED BENIFIT; ALTHOUGH HE DOES NOT SNORE LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN, HE DOES SNORE MOST NIGHTS AND THE SPEAKER PILLOW HAS HELPED WITH THAT. I DON'T KNOW WHY, I DON'T CARE WHY, I JUST KNOW THE SNORING HAS JUST ABOUT STOPPED. YEA! THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT IT TOOK LONGER TO RECEIVE THAN I THOUGHT IT SHOULD, APPROX A WEEK LONGER. I GIVE THIS PILLOW SPEAKER AN A-.
Great For Reasons You May Not Consider 2008-06-26
I have Tinnitus, so a good audio is necessary for a good night sleep, or waiting to fall asleep. I used to use a Radio Shack pillow speaker, but I was having issues with it creating a bulge in my pillow right where my head rests. If I move it to the side, I have to turn up the volume--then my wife can hear it and she tells me to turn it down.
I found this item and it did the trick. My head rests between the TWO speakers and not on top of the one. The cloth enclosure keeps it from slipping during the night. Another nice thing with the dual speakers is that I turn over from one side to the other during the night, and I can still sufficiently hear the audio.
I have had it for a year now with no problems.
WORKS GREAT! 2008-03-16
I was surprized at how well this product really worked. You can hear the sounds from the speakers very clearly through the pillow. Just make sure that your ear is positioned over one of the speakers and not in between. It also has a nice long cord, which gives you a lot of room to work with. I also like the free CD that came with it. A great buy for the money.

I've had it for some time now and am completly satisfied with it. Works very well and is a quality product. The sound is only a little "muffled" by the pillow but is quite good! ...and you can't beat the price!
faulty wiring

Loved this product at first but after a few months of gentle use, the sound cut in and out continuously. Pretty much unusuable. I opened up the pillow and discovered that the plastic coating that covers the wire to the actual speaker was worn away and the wire was getting thin-barely attached. Would cut in and out if moved even slightly. Looked like very cheap construction. Would not buy this product again. I was very careful with it at all times. Should not have worn out so quickly.

The speaker pillow has good volume and high quality. Ny only complaint: No volume Control.Also, music on CD was not as relaxing as my music, which I play on the organ, record it and play it on the pillow speaker.
