Great Expansion pack!

This expansion pack was one of the ones I really wanted when I heard about it. Some others I was kind of like "ehh... don't really need that to enjoy the game" but this one opened up a lot of new doors
Great game! 2007-08-07
I got this game about 2 weeks ago and are so happy about it. There is TONS of new stuff. The best part is the new downtown area were there about 20 new places to go. There are also vampires which are really fun. I must say that this is one of the most addicting games yet!

YOU CAN CREATE A LOVELY DANCE FLOOR WITH FLASHING FLOOR TILES AND DISCO BALLS AND LIGHTS. YOU CAN SET UP A DJ IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR WHO ROCKS THE HOUSE!
Nice addition, but...

Overall, this game is pretty fun. However, unlike university (the other ep that I own) there is no major addition to the gameplay. There is more stuff you can do, but nothing as major as college. Also, because the game is really based around community lots, if you have a slow computer, it will take forever to load them every time you want to go out. The last thing I don't like is the ReNuYuSenso Orb(lets you change your aspiration, turn ons and turn offs.) It only costs 6500 Aspiration points. It justs seems way to easy to use. Your aspiration should be harder to change.
There's still a lot of good stuff, though. Vampires, chemistry, turn ons and turn offs, and real dates are really cool. I reccomend this game to a die-hard sims fam with a fast computer.
A must have expansion pack... 2007-06-29
Nightlife is a MUST HAVE. The downtown is great, though there is some pointless businesses like the art museum. You get new clothes, and a new aspiration. I didn't try out the new aspiration yet, though.
I had a lot of fun sending my Sim on dates, and utilizing all the new features. This game is defiantly something you want to have with your Sims 2 collection!
Their are vampires in the town, a male and a female. I'm not sure if they have more than just two yet. I haven't tried out being a vampire yet, but I will soon! There is a CRAP LOAD of new stuff in this expansion. Everything from wall designs, the new 'rugs' feature, garages, new pre-made house lots (I love the townhouse!). New designs, paintings, and a lot of new entertainment and party things. (You can make your own disco lounge with awesome light-up dance floors and a DJ booth with stobe lights.)
They have new clothes as well, a lot more for woman than men, but both have a fun new outfit fit for any off the wall person. There is also the new 'smoothing' tool for your lawn, now you wont have those hills that seem more like cliffs! It makes the hills more like rolling meadows. XD
You can see your neighbors, but you'll have to turn that option on in the settings first! Its a great new feature, feels much better (I hated the fact it felt like the Sims were just floating on a small flat square green planet..)
I personally enjoyed the amount of new options the sims get, now they can 'primp' themselves, ask other Sims specific questions! And get answers! Such as: 'do you like what you see?' 'what do you want?' what do you fear?' what is your job?' 'How much money do you have?' 'What turns you on?' and more.
You also can gain influence points and influence other Sims to do things like 'kiss...(any person in the room)', Talk to anyone in the room, play with them, you can even have them CLEAN YOUR HOUSE or GARDEN, even serve your household a meal! Now thats some influencing!
There is a LOT of new meals as well, though I'm not sure if you can learn to cook these yourself yet. Either way when you go out and order, you get way more than just 'spaghetti or macaroni and cheese'. There's stuff on the menu I never heard of. (lol)
Overall, I can't tell you everything that is in this expansion, besides the fact that I'm very happy with it.
Awesome game 2008-05-29
My kids loved this game. They play it all the time and they think that the new features in Sims 2 Nightlife are awesome. I recommend it.
Expansion Pack adds new aspects of playability 2008-05-15
I don't care for this expansion pack. The added benefit is vampires, but they can't work or go outside during the day or care for children properly, so they're a hindrance. Changing zones to go downtown takes forever so I never bother. The nightclubs are fun, but not necessary.
Added Vehicles and Custom Content 2007-12-12
I recently bought the Nightlife EP for The Sims 2 game. The part of this EP that I like best, is the new ability to build driveways, garages, and have Sims own and drive their own vehicles to work, community lots, etc. I don't enjoy waiting for taxicabs, or waiting for my Sims' taxicabs to show up! Also, if users want to download custom content, usually architectural items, furniture, clothing, etc., in some cases they need to have Nightlife installed, for the items to work correctly. These items are available on many The Sims 2 websites, many for free. I have found that having the custom content to use, makes the game much more enjoyable, and realistic-looking.

OMG! i lov this game!!your sims can become vampires!thats totally awsome!they can still be normal too though.anyways there is lots of cool places like love spots and dance spots and bowling,karioki spots!!nice dining places and misc.. you can go on dates and be timed on your dates and then be graded the better the score the higher realationship!OMG!!you get cars too thats my most favorite part.there is pick up trucks,mustangs,cars and vans.you can build garages for it.the WORST part is that it takes forever to load last time i played it took 45 min to load.Sometimes it will load fast.this game gets you soo into it that i started too play at 9 in the mornin till 7 at night!!THIS IS A GREAT CHRISTMAS PREASANT!!i hope i helped a little!!Happy shopping!!

I've always loved the Sims games, and the Nightlife expansion is no exception!
What's awesome about this game is that your Sims can own cars, which is great, especially with families with kids! No more wasted days if your Kids/Teens miss school! Just have an them all carpool with a teen or have an Adult/Elder take them to school in the car! They have no seating limits either, so a whole family of 8 can fit in a tiny sports car, lol.
The next thing is VAMPIRES! Your sim can now be the creatures of the night.
It's especially cool to have a friend as a vampire if your sim is a nightowl, because unlike other sims, Vampires don't get mad if you call them at 3 o'clock in the morning to hang out. The only down side is that if a Sim is a vampire, they can't really hold a job to well, because a few short hours in sunlight will kill them.
