Easy to use and affordable

I needed a video recorder to complete a home based yoga teaching course and this will work perfectly for that. I like that it can also be used as a stand alone video clip recorder or still photo camera.
Nice Little Camera

Although I have not used this camera myself yet, my husband has been using it and so far has been liking it. I have viewed some of the pictures and a video he has taken so far and the quality, for a small camera, as this one, is quite good. So, for the price, you really can't go wrong. We did however add memory to it. It really pays to do this because from 19 still photos, we now get around 1,145 so it is well worth the extra $30 to buy more memory. Although we plan to use more video down the line, I am sure we will be happy with that as well. So, if you are looking for a digital camcorder/camera that is not too high in price, this is well recommended.
Really a GREAT value product to buy... 2007-06-25
Was very happy and pleased with the product. very clear image, was very easy to use. I bought it for my daughters they were very happy with their present. Has so many excellent fitures such as the digital camera, MP3.
Loved the Menu bar, very easy to read. I like the simplicity of it, anyone can use it. I can say that you won't regret such great buy.
I must admit that from the price I was some what having a hard time deciding, but after reading such great reviews I was convinced.
If you make these same decision you will be here just like me writing about such a great product. Excellent, EXCELENTE!!
This little camera fit the bill 2007-05-14
I was looking for a little starter camera and this one is really working out for me. I let my kids use it (ages 10 - 15) and it is holding up great. It takes excellent, clear pictures and nice little film clips at a reasonable price. I am not shooting for an Oscar yet, so until that time comes this little camera is just great. I have had no problems, and I mean NO problems. I would recommend the product, especially for the money.
Very nice for the price 2006-01-27
I got the IS-DV a couple of weeks ago because I wanted a digital camcorder that didn't use a tape, which all of the mini-DV units use, but rather one that would store the video and stills directly to an SD card. I also wanted something that could do 30fps video capture, with audio, and have the convenience of taking digital stills as well. I am VERY pleased with this unit for the money. It will never produce the quality of high end digital camcorder or digital SLR, but is surprisingly good on both video and stills for a unit in this price range. It is also very easy to use, and has good battery life with the lithium-ion battery included.
It came with everything I needed, including AC adapter with cradle charger for the battery, mini tripod, attractive and durable carrying case, CD with software, USB to mini USB cable for connecting to a PC, etc.
The one thing it doesn't do well is video in low light situations. However, for digital stills the built in flash does a good job.
On the positive side, it is very small and light, even with the battery installed, so it is very easy to wear on your belt. It is a do-it-all device that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is easy to use and easy to keep with you. The quality of video and images are pretty good, better than I expected. A surprising bonus is the built in image stabilization functionality when recording video, which worked very well to remove the effects of shakes and bumps while filming. I especially liked that it has two different buttons for shooting video or taking stills. This allowed me to shoot video for a while, stop video and immediately take a digital still, and then back to video. However, it won't take digital stills WHILE recording video, like the most expensive ones now, but it works great for what I do.
With all this plus a low price, how could you go wrong?
