If you have never taken the cover off your computer to do a little work, this is a great baptism into the world of computer tech. I'm no I.T. guy so if I can do it, you can do it. If you can follow simple instructions this is an inexpensive way to increase performance.
Important Note: Make sure the type of Ram you buy matches the Ram already in your computer. If you don't the new Ram won't work with the old.

Purchased above item following Kingston screen prompts, wound up with memmory that did not fit into the memory slots in my EMachine [not a model currently listed]. Probably an error in selection on my part.
I completed the Kingston "live support" protocol twice within the last week to try and arrange an exchange, but have received no return call, and don't see an alternative contact method handy.
This is not a pleasant experience.

Excellent Value for those in the know 2008-03-15
If you're comfortable doing the research, or are very computer savvy, these
memory sticks are the best bang for the buck. Most sites like Crucial/Kingston don't list the value lines when using their automated tool for finding the proper item for your specific application. After doing some research, and by using the technical specs of the top dollar memory, it was relatively easy to match a value line product by comparing numbers... and then get the good price from... you guessed it, Amazon! Side notes:
I had to install this pair in the 1 > 2 slots. Box wouldn't fire up when in slots 3 > 4, behind originally installed memory. Also, since my comp has dual thread tech, memory MUST be installed in pairs to maintain that capability.

Unpacked it, installed in my Shuttle XPC SD31P and its done. No problem at all. Very happy with it.
