Editorial Review
The Fisher-Price Aquarium Bath Tub brings a comfortable bath time experience to both babies and parents in three stages of use: Newborn, Infant and Older Infant/Toddler. Each stage has a different washing position and use for the soft sling.

In Newborn Mode, hang the sling from both ends, providing a safe and comfortable platform for bathing even the youngest babies. The sling includes a head support for stability. In Infant Mode, the sling sits along the slope of the narrow end of the tub and provides support for infants that cannot hold themselves up. Additionally, the bump in the base of the tub provides a stop. In Toddler Mode, sitting babies can sit at the wider end of the tub, giving them more room. The sling provides added support along the back wall.

The Fisher-Price: Aquarium Bath Tub has soft cushions along the upper lip of the tub, giving parents a comfortable resting position for their arms and wrists. Tub comes with three aquarium-themed toys, including a pouring cup and a toy that sprinkles water.

Great for newborns but useless after four months 2008-06-06
I received this tub as a shower gift and the sling is great for newborns. However, my daughter has now outgrown the sling and can't sit up on her own yet. The instructions say that you should detach the bottom portion of the sling and use it as a headrest but the problem is that the seat in the tub is not deep enough to hold the baby and she slides down into the bottom portion of the tub. Luckily, I never take my hands off of her while she is in the tub so she has never gone under but I can see how it could happen very easily. This is a great tub if your child can sit up and you want a small tub to bathe them in. It's also great for newborns but there is a three or four month window where it is useless. I'm tossing mine out. I bought the Primo Eurobath and it is much safer and will last much longer... probably until she is three years old.

Great!!! My son loves it 2008-06-01
We bought this for our first son, we had no idea about tubs so we bought the "prettiest" one, but oh boy it has been great! My son is now 8 months and we still use it everyday. He loves his baths. It is very confortable, the toys that came with it are great. Great buy.

Big Disappointment 2008-06-01
I registered for this product along with several other Aquarium products. I was so excited when we got it, but the first time we tried it with our new baby, we realized it was not what we expected. The hammock is a great concept, but even with a six pound baby, it did not hold him off of the hard plastic divider in the middle of the tub. My son hated it. I ended up buying a seperate bath sponge to put in the tub. Also, with the hammock, my son slipped down in the tub repeatedly. This scarred him and made bath time such a chore. He is now big enough to sit/lay in without the hammock or sponge, but he still slides. And, the bottom is just too hard. The divider is supposed to make it possible to use the tub at the kitchen sink, but it did not fit on mine. Also, the tub is not mildew resistant. We have drained it and let it air dry after each use, but it still has mildew in the bottom. I have to clean it with bleach weekly and I hate doing that since my son likes to put the attached toys and cups in his mouth. I am now looking for a better tub.

Nice Tub, Great Price 2008-05-29
I have seen this in the stores and all over online but with free shipping and a discount price I bought it from Amazon. I haven't had the chance to use it so I don't know about the bump everyone talks about but I'm sure it will get the job done and last for a long time.

Wish I could return it! 2008-05-27
I put this on my baby registry thinking it was going to work great! I wish I could go back in time. After bringing my daughter home I tried giving her a bath in it and it was just not a good experience. The sling gets really cold which of course is not good for the baby, the pillow is slippery and awkward, and the bump in the middle of the tub underneath the sling can dig into the babies back. My daughter did not look or act comfortable in this tub. I agree with an earlier review that it is "not very functional". The only thing I liked about it was the cute wash cups...thats it. Since I can't take it back, maybe it will be better once my daughter can sit up on her own. I would definitely not use this for infants again! Another parent suggested the bath sponge/foam and it works perfectly and my daughter is always happy during bath time. Sometimes simple is better!

My daughter loves this tub!!! 2008-07-03
My daughter is now 13 months old and I still give her a bath in this tub. I got it for a baby shower gift so I was able to use it from birth. I never used this in the sink, just in the tub, so I've never had any problems with it. I like the bump that is in the tub, because when they can't sit up on their own it helps prop them up. I don't agree with the comment about the baby being out of the water too much and gets cold. I never had that problem with my daughter, I just kept wiping her with warm water. I love this seat and highly recommend it.

I think a bucket would work better. 2008-06-30
This tub is very disappointing. Let me tell you why:

1) The newborn stage hammock is very badly designed and really has very little support. You have to tighten the straps very tight because if you don't, the baby is supported by the tall piece in the middle separating the two halves of the tub. The folks at fisher price were kind enough to mold this with an indentation for the baby's body, but honestly, would YOU like to be held up by a single beam placed horizontally across your back?? I tried to pad it with a couple of washcloths after it caused a bruise (and my son was not terribly wriggly when he was a newborn), but that did little to abate the problem. When you do tighten the hammock straps so as to alleviate the pressure from the evil plastic piece, the baby is literally out of the water, plus the hammock itself leaves no room to dunk a cup or scoop in to ladle water over the baby. What an unpleasant experience!

2) The second stage (reclining end) keeps most of your baby's body, again, out of the water even when filled as much as you can get it. See those pictures on the box? They must be edited, because the actual tub is nowhere near that deep! (the bubbles do look kind of fake) My baby is also long, so his head hits the rim of the bath and did so from day 1. This made it hard to actually wash him without getting water everywhere. I had to resort to padding this with washcloths, which were necessary in any case because the plastic is too slippery to support a baby.

3) Third stage for TODDLERS? It would be nicer if you had somewhere to dunk your cup/hand so that you can rinse the baby. I'm not having a huge problem with this part right now except for that divider again. It cuts the tub size down for the third stage quite a bit, and is entirely too small if your baby likes to move around at all. My baby is 4 months old and this end barely works for us. I honestly can't imagine the third stage working for ANY toddler and am currently shopping around for a new tub.

Some things to consider after reading my review: My son has grown rather quickly. At 4 months, he is over 16 lbs and almost 27 inches long. He was average weight/length at birth, but is now quite large. (he's also exclusively breastfed and I have been told that breastfed babies don't usually get quite so big so fast). Hope this helps!

I Thought I would Be Able To Use This Longer. 2008-06-28
I bought this for my baby and thought it was awesome until she outgrew the sling which didn't take long at all. She cannot sit up on her own yet which means the tub is absolutely useless. I am throwing this out and buying something else. What a waste of money.

Couldn't live without this tub!! 2008-06-25
We purchased this tub after reading other reviews. Mostly for the hammock. Our twin boys are now 4 months and love this tub!! The hammock makes them feel secure and allows us to have both hands free while bathing them. No more of trying to hold a slippery, wet baby with one hand and wash them with the other.

The other great thing is that the tub can adjust as the boys grow.

I would definitely recommend this tub!

Great tub 2008-06-12
We got this tub as a baby shower gift and couldn't be happier. Our baby is 11 months old and we still use it. She loves to play with the little cups that comes with the tub. The net was a very convenient way to bathe her until her umbilical cord came off.

Dora The Explorer

My kids just love joining Dora on her exciting adventures and they get to learn a little Spanish along the way. They really respond the the interactivity of the videos especially when Swiper the Fox comes along - "Oh Man!"

She is great as a role model for girls and for learning Spanish .
