Fantastic addition in our kitchen
2007-03-23
We bought the Tower for our two and six year olds, with baby on the way, so we planned on many years of use. Fortunately, the Tower is amazingly sturdy, high quality and worth the money. We have an island in our kitchen and it fits comfortably enough at one end that we leave it there, and both kids climb in and out all day long - which is wonderful for them to get involved in cooking, opening the mail, eating a snack....
So far, while we do discourage them from actively jumping around, they haven't been able to tip the Tower over; though our two year old has slipped out the side (but she's a terrible monkey.) It's a little tight with the two and six year old, but they manage to share if the activity is engaging enough. It'll be perfect for the two youngest ones in the coming years.
Overall, we love it!
More than a Tower, IT'S A SAFETY TOOL!

I purchase this learning tower for two reasons: One to have my kids, 2 and 3 years olds, at my sight while in the kitchen, and two, to have them as helping partners. They love it. My little girl loves to do the "dishes" and my son enjoys helping in preparing his lunch. He attends preschool. I have not used the tower as a theater. Will do in the summer!
I highly recommend this product, it is safe, sturdy and can create a lot of fun for children. Just don't leave them unattended.
Indispensable

Having our three-year-old be easily and safely able to access the kitchen counter for cooking, washing, projects, etc. while I'm preparing meals has been truly life changing. She used to teeter on a kitchen chair or beg me to lift her to sit on the counter, but now can come and go as she pleases and I don't have to hover. Bravo!
WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!!!!

This is worth the cost!!!!!!!! I hesitated to buy this because of the price. Finally, my mom decided to buy it for my b/g twins for Christmas. They are 19 months old. This is hands down the single best piece of equipment, furniture, or toy we have for them at this point. They absolutely love being able to watch mommy cook and when I need to occupy them for 10 or 15 minutes, I scoot it up to the kitchen sink and let them play in the water. They can both stand on it at the same time and it is a great lifesaver and ARM saver. Have you ever tried holding twins up to watch you do things in the kitchen? Impossible.
The 6 year old neighbor girl down the street comes over twice a week when her mother works. We adjust the platform and viola! She can help out in the kitchen too! This tells me we're going to get YEARS of use out of this. If my kids use it for the next five years, that means we paid roughly 30-40 dollars a year for it. That's 15 dollars per kid a year. Is that worth it? I think so. My guess is that it will resell quite well, so we'll make some of the money back.
As far as design goes... it's a very well made piece of equipment. The screws are counter sunk and the wood is very good quality. It's nice and heavy and there is no chance of it rocking or toppling. I can't say enough good things about it. The twins climb in and out pretty easily and they love it. I'd recommend this thing to anyone. If you can only afford one high cost item this year, I'd consider buying this.
We love it!

If you owned one you'd realize why it was so expensive. It's built like a rock. It doesn't teeter and it's designed to hold two children and it does. It's indepensible at our house we use it multiple times a day. It's adjustable too so it grows with your child.
LOVE IT

Our family loves this stool. Our 18 month old is very curios and wants to be a part of what is going on. It frustrated her that she could not see over the counter. She always wanted to be held or sit on the counter so she could help. This eliminated that problem. She can stand beside me & help. True it is a little pricey but it is extremely sturdy. I would definitely buy it again.
Solid, clunky and a little dangerous but still enjoy it

A good product. Mainly for kitchen hand washing and pot stirring. The large hole though is a bit of a hazard. One kid I had in there was sitting down on the platfom. When he leaned back he fell out and fortunately I was able to catch him before he plunked his head on the floor. I think I'll add a strap around as a guard rail. Also it is dang heavy -- which is also good thing too. Yes it is cumbersome to move but stays put when you want it to. I'd get it again. It's in the basement now, waiting for my littlest to grow big enough.
Greatest Toddler Stool

This stool is one of the best purchases we have made for our 21 month old daughter. She was always crying to be picked up when I was cooking, as she is curious about everything! Now that she has this, she is able to see AND help. She loves it, and will run over to it when she wants to see what's going on. It also allows her to to reach the sink to wash her hands. I highly recommend it to any parent.
Sturdy, good looking and practical

I own this product and my daugther likes it. Yes, it is super expensive, but you have to realize this product is patented and the competing products have dissapointing designs, so we are paying for the innovation. My only complaint is the step-up design. The step-holes are located in the center instead of sideways, so my daughter (23 months old) has a bit of trouble climbing into the tower. She manages, but she looks uncomfortable do in it. They could improve the entry design.
Love it

We have had this for 5 years and it has been great. I cannot imagine why these things are not *very* popular. Considering the costs of a lot of other kids stuff this is a deal. For many years both kids could get on it and help in the kitchen. The kids are now 8 and 5 and it is time to give it away. It was a great purchase.
