In CHARMED, the three Halliwell sisters have accepted their destiny of protecting the innocent and vanquishing evil doers, even though that is generally not on the agenda of every twenty-something on the fast track to discovering what life’s all about. Prue (Doherty), the oldest, is driven to succeed and dislikes the free-spirited antics of the youngest sister Phoebe (Milano). Piper (Combs), the earthy middle sister, mediates between her siblings. Prue has the power to move objects, Piper to freeze time and Phoebe to see the future. The sisters must band together to protect themselves, and the world, from the dark, demonic forces that seek to destroy them.

season 2 2007-11-23
more of the same from season 1. Not much changed but it was such a good show to begin with that is a good thing


Getting hooked 2007-10-05
It's amazing how a simple TV show that you didn't watch on TV the original time it was on, can get its claws into you so fast. Halfway through this, I ordered season 3 (which I won't be getting any time soon due to damn postal strikes in the UK!) I was quite literally watching two plus episodes a day, without getting fed up of it. And then I finished it, and I have nothing to watch now (apart from the backlog of movies that I've yet to watch!)

Charmed is moving on from the first season, into what is normally a difficult second season, but manages it quite well. There's lots of interesting stories included in this, with Piper being torn between two guys, Leo & Dan, a new nightclub that Piper starts running, which leads the way for lots of bands to be on the show (but not many that were successful in the UK so I'd heard of them), Pru getting over Andy's death, and Phoebe starting college.

Some of my favourite episodes include:

Morality Bites where Phoebe has a premonition of herself in the future, getting burned at the stake. A really upsetting episode, which shows how the little things can affect the future.

She's A Man, Baby, A Man! where Pru becomes a man due to a spell gone wrong, with hilarious consequences. It's hard to believe that they managed to make gorgeous Shannen into a man, but it is her.

Awakened is an episode where Piper gets an amazing lead role for a change, and takes seriously ill. Cue lots of crying and an tear inducing appearance from Leo.

Pardon My Past is the episode where Phoebe 'meets' some from her past, and travels back in time to deal with it. Going back to the twenties, leads to lovely outfits and hairstyles.

Murphy's Luck is a episode about suicide, all centring round a Darklighter (the opposite to Leo) who's played by the bad guy from The Mummy movies, Arnold Vosloo.

It doesn't end on a cliffhanger as such, which is a pity, but I just can't wait to get my hands on season 3. I also would love to have the girls' hairstylist and wardrobe. Phoebe's character still gets the best hairstyles, all braided etc, which unfortunately, I cannot recreate myself! Boo.

An excellent season, getting better all the time, now I just season three. I'll need the tissues for that one.


Just what I expected! 2008-07-02
This product is just what I excepted. The material is complete and provided in great packaging. It was delivered on time and without any problems.

An excellent tv series, I only wish I had gotten into it when it first started.


Prue was the best 2008-06-11
I loved the first three seasons of Charmed. After Shannen Doherty left, it went right down hill.


Season Two 2008-05-31
With season Two Prue grows as a character and she actually starts acting like a person but still not a very likable sister. Phoebe like season two still isn't a major factor in the entire season excluding a few episodes Mortailty Bites, Chick Flick, and Pardon My Past. Piper is in denial about Leo and can't get it through her head, until the end of the season, that she can't just stop loving a guy because of his job.


Great series 2008-05-21
Lots' of scifi/far-fetched storylines and not for little eyes, but the stories and characters are very good. If you like scifi, you'll like this series.
