I purchased Gilmore Girls season 4 for a friend of mine for Christmas and she loved it, she liked it so much I decided to buy here the remainder of the series for her Birthday.

Not the best of the seasons, but still has its high points

Season Four was a hard season for the Gilmore Girls, and this was primarily because of Rory's [Alexis Bledel] going off to Yale. This changed the dynamics of Lorelai [Lauren Graham's] and Rory's interaction, being reduced to mainly trying to get each other on the cellphone. There was an element of being lost here for both characters, but especially so with Rory, who after breaking up with Jess in Season three [well, technically it was Jess just walking out on Rory] finds herself trying to adapt to a whole new environment [the only constant being Paris, who is her roomie at Yale] and with no real romantic suitors around.

Lorelai finds herself and Sookie seeing their dreams of an inn becoming a reality, though with many problems in between. Lorelai gets romantically entangled with her father's business partner, Jason aka Digger Stiles [Chris Eigeman] and the problems the relationship poses.However, Jason is not really a character that appeals to viewers, coming across as stuffy and unsuitable for Lorelai.

Despite these hiccups, there are some truly great episodes which keep viewers entertained [The Festival of Living Art for example, and the episode where Luke realises a certain winsome coffee addict is his true soulmate].All these and more will keep fans happy and new viewers entertained.

this show is one of the best ever on tv. this season rory goes off to college so it's a little different, but still great. lots of laughs and lots of adventures.

I finally have all 7 seasons

Each season is exceptional in it's own way. I'm very sad that the show ended, but now I have all 7 seasons to watch any time I want. I, as with lots of other fans would have liked a different ending to the 7th and final season. I'm not so sure any show that ends has a good ending.

The Wonderful Gilmore Girls!!

I just have to write a review for this WONDERFUL show!! Gilmore Girls is quite a rarity in the TV world in that it makes the audience feel like they are in their "Little Corner of the World". The setting of Connecticut tied in with the quirky yet earnest characters of small town Stars Hollow and gift wrapped with Emmy deserving performances of the 2 main characters, Lauren Graham(Lorelai) & Alexis Bledel(Rory) make this show simply irresistable. It is such a comforting show to watch and has all of the elements of a quality show: humor, wittiness, & drama are poured out in just enough dosages to feel like you have just finished a heap of blueberry pancakes with syrup on top!!

Gilmore Girls puts you in such a great mood and the pop culture references in the dialogue are purely entertainment at its finest. One cannot ask for a better, well-written, & enjoyable show than The Gilmore Girls. If you ever have a bad day or need to smile, just plop in the "Girls" and have a little fun. I can guarantee that you'll be in for a wickedly good time!! Enjoy this gem!!

This show has just kept getting better and better. When it was on was one of the most entertaining shows on television. Too bad it ended last year. The forth season exceeds the first, second and third seasons.

My daughter (15) and I both really enjoy watching the Gilmore Girls. It leads to a lot of sharing and conversations about her life...always a plus. I highly recommend the Gilmore Girls on DVD. Much better than wading through the commercials and trying to find it on at a convenient time.
