Couldn't be happier! 2008-10-09
Ordered this stand from Amazon after reading all the reviews. Elected one-day shipping (Prime) and it arrived as scheduled the next day!

It took about 40-minutes to assemble using the instructions included... relatively "Chinese English Free" and understandable.

This is clearly a very sturdy and well-designed stand. Heavy, but that's a testament to its strength.

Raising and lowering the stand is a snap, and while I'm currently using a Task Force (Lowe's brand) saw, I am purchasing a Bosch 4410L shortly and this stand will fit both without any problems.

The positives have all been previously mentioned, and I agree with them wholeheartedly.

The only problem I had was the plastic cable cover on the lower portion of the stand which was cracked in the box.

I called Delta Customer Service and it took less than five-minutes to get a replacement on the way to me! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Happy as hell with this purchase, and recommend to all!

love it 2008-09-30
I love it . It works great, you can leave the saw on it and roll it around, load it on a truck, whatever. Just right.

PERFECT COMPOUND MITRE SAW 2008-09-09
I MARRIED THIS TO MY BOSCH 4410L AND IT WAS A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN
RECOMMEND ATTACHING A 3/4" PIECE OF PLYWOOD TO THE STAND THEN ATTACHING THE SAW TO THE WOOD--GIVES YOU A LITTLE TABLE SPACE AS YOU COOK UP YOUR WOODED DELIGHTS

portable precision 2008-09-03
This is a very sturdy portable work stand. no skimping on quality here.
great stand for the money compared to bigger name portable stands.

Delta 36-136 w/Makita 1214FL Miter Saw 2008-08-23
I'm a homeowner and use this stand with a Makita 1214FL Miter Saw. I keep the Saw in the garage so this stand makes it very easy to lug the saw all around my property for my various construction/remodeling projects. The stand is pretty heavy but that also makes it a very sturdy platform. I would have rated this stand higher except for the design/construction of the roller assembly, see "Cons" below. If I had to use this stand everyday and change roller settings multiple times a day, I would rate it lower. Overall, a good buy for my needs.

PROS:
-The stand is well built, very sturdy, and stable folded or open.

-Stand folds and unfolds easily.

-Rolls across lawn with little difficulty other than weight (saw and stand together weigh around 130lbs).

-Good price

CONS:
-Rollers stick while being raised or lowered, should be able to raise/lower with one hand instead of having to wiggle rollers up/down. Not a big deal, just annoying.

-When extending or closing the roller on the handle side of the stand (opposite the wheels), you need to raise the rollers all the way to clear the stand handle. Wouldn't be a "Con" if rollers raised/lowered smoothly.

-Need to readjust height of rollers whenever extending for longer stock. Too much play in roller extension tubes/slides.

TOO HEAVY 2008-07-31

Fabulous Toy 2008-07-06
I bought this miter table for my husband. He saw it on the show, Cool Tools and of course had to have it. What he said about the table is that it's on wheels and can be easily stored. I agree with this because our house has limited space.

wish I could afford more 2008-07-03
Make moving eqt. easy and I wish I could afford more and trash the stand that come with other eqt.

Delta saw stand 2008-07-01
Very good stand for the money. Works really well with my DeWalt Miter saw. The directions were a little diffucult to understand, but I made it. Very easy to use and portable.

Not Bad But Could Be Better 2008-06-29
I've have both the Delta 36-136 and the Ridgid AC9944 Mitre Saw Stands. While I like them both, each has it's drawbacks and strengths. I use the both with a Bosch 5412L 12" sliding mitre saw which is a heavier than average saw, I think. The Delta latch has broken once and I had to get parts to repair it. Also, as has been mentioned by others, the supports need more adjusting for saw level when extended than the Ridgid and the Ridgid has fold down support legs for the extension arms which I like. I like the larger wheels on the Ridgid as well especially when going up steps. The downfalls of the Ridgid are the leg supports on the wheel end which have an annoying way of not letting a tall guy tilt it up high enough to be comfortable when moving it around and I find it easier to rap your knuckes when folding it up. Another drawback with the Ridgid is that it is over twenty pounds heavier so it you add the weight of a saw is is a lot for one man to muscle onto the back of a pickup. As far as versitility and ease of operation, I see them as pretty well even.

Having said all that, if storage space and light weight are a factor the the Delta is the best bet. If you are using it for just a few cuts and moving in and out of a garage to use I would also go with the Delta. However, if weight and storage space is not a factor and you will be using on job sites and lugging it around un even ground, the heft, ruggedness and large wheels of the Ridgid make it a better choice.

I guess in short what I'm saying is that while I like them both when I buy my next one I'll get the Ridgid.
