Good Speakers, but not amazing

The USB convenience is one of the major reasons that I decided on this set. Saving an outlet is a nice feature for a laptop. As far as the sound quality goes, it's pretty good. The sound is much louder than laptop internal speakers. The highs are good, but I find them to be slightly static-y at times with some scratchy distortion (it's mild but noticeable). The mids and bass are average (but a drastic improvement over internal speakers). I find that if you put them on a surface with good resonance, the quality of the bass is improved. They definitely are a great improvement over built in laptop speakers. However, they don't sound as good as a nice 2.1 system of comparable price. This review is for refurbished speakers (but I don't imagine new ones would be any different).

I have purchased this item only because Logitech was offering a $40 mail-in rebate, which made it irresistable. Overall, it is an OK product with OK sound quality. However, at higher volumes, the sound quality suffers significantly. I will keep it only because it was a good deal. I would have returned it otherwise.

I already have a sony USB speaker. This is much much better than other one I have. The sound quality is clear. Some speaker will not give proper output if a song has more bass. This is so clear.
Cons: If I try to set maximum volume, the sound is not clear.

It is a very good speaker. I like it very much. you may think BASS is a little bit more than other models, but I think it is fine.
BTW, it comes with a case, that is very convenient.

Seems that logitech has the knack for creating accessories that are truly a pleasure to use. These speakers are great as a plug and play alternative to most of the crappy speakers built into laptops. While they do not supply a great deal of bass, they are plenty loud enough and are clear and crisp in their output. If you are able to buy these with a logitech rebate, they are the real deal in portable sound.

Very nicely crafted speakers. Speakers are light, but material feels and looks very sturdy. Produces very good high to low range sounds for such a compact size and being powered solely by the laptop USB drive. No installation needed, laptop will automatically recognize speakers. Easy to use controls, and comes with a very nice molded foam/nylon carrying case. Only one minor setback is a USB cord could be a little longer depending on the setup you are using, though this does not subtract from its ratings.

The speakers set up quickly and work great. I didn't have very good sound on my computer, so this helps a lot. They came with a nice case as well
