For the Money ...

I only give it 5 stars because what you pay for it is so dirt cheap, yet it works fine. The sound isn't spectacular (a little tinny), but again I am rating it on it's price and that it meets expectations. And it is very small.
If you are looking for a high-end model, look elsewhere. If you want a backup, this ones great.
Foldable mini-audio system

Only one of the two speakers works, but since I only use it for listening to audiobooks it's okay. Very handy item if you don't feel like using earbuds.
Broken speakers

I bought these speakers because I already had some just like it and they worked fine. However, when these speakers arrived, the speakers were not glued to the plastic casing and shook around inside making it impossible for them to work properly. I was quite disappointed.

The speaker works very well so far. I have used it for my MP3 player and for my laptop. It was well worth the cost to be able to hear downloaded music around the house without wearing headphones or being tethered to a laptop that just can't get loud enough. The price was awesome compared to other speakers I've seen in the stores.

Great little speakers! 2008-08-07
Even after reading the good reviews, I'm still surprised--these are great little speakers. For the price you can't beat them. I have a 2nd Gen Nano with the earphone jack on the bottom, so the iPod doesn't sit nicely in the dock as pictured, but that's just aesthetics. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Very nice for the price.
My Palm plays audio and video but the external speaker is very poor. I have a small pair of Sony speakers, but they were simply not much better than the Palm speaker.
I thought I'd try these and if they weren't any better than the Sony speakers I wasn't out much money.
Frankly my little $6 investment in these have provided a pleasant surprise. They are much better than the Sony speakers. The quality and quantity of sound from them is, maybe not excellent, but certainly good. These aren't going to compete with a $100 set of speakers, nor are they aren't going to fill a room with sound. But if you want to listen to MP3 player, Palm or anything with subtandard speakers, for $6 (even at $15) they are a bargain.
The little stereo plug and wire wraps around the back and get's covered by the battery cover. The speakers fold out. It has adaquate volume control and an on/off switch. The little tray for an MP3 player is too narrow for my Palm TX, but would fit any MP3 player. It also came with a USP power cable.
All around, this is a very good value and I recommend them.
Good for the money 2008-05-09
I purchased these speakers to make my purchase eligible for free shipping. I didn't pay much, and these speakers are worth the price. They sound fine, they're portable, and I like that they accept USB power.
