Editorial Review
Canon has poured all the Know How of its extraordinary history of developing innovative office machines into each of itscopiers, printers, and networked office systems. The same superiority of design and manufacture goes into all of the Canon-branded consumable imaging supplies and parts for this equipment. Naturally, no one makes better parts and supplies for Canon products than Canon. Using genuine Canon parts and supplies is your best insurance against equipment damage, and possibly voiding your equipment warranty.

Overpriced 2007-10-23

PROS:
Good quality prints on regular paper.
Doesn't smudge easily.
Dries fast

CONS:
Expensive - $20 at Compusa
Does NOT last long
Dries out fast

Good cartridge but... 2007-09-24
But...good lord the cartridges lasted maybe 100 pages tops before it gave out. May still be cheaper than owning a laser printer though. Ink dries very quickly and no smudges. Just wish they could put some more ink in it.

Canon ip1600 ink cartridge 2007-04-12
I bought two of this Canon ink cartridge.
I am satisfied. The price is good.

Ink Cartidge 2007-03-31
The product works fine and I had no trouble getting it from the vendor

overkill on shipping 2007-03-13
The product arrived just fine, but the box it arrived in was huge compared to the size of its contents, which I'm sure I paid for. Otherwise I got what I expected, albeit at more of a cost than driving to get it myself.

Why not recycled ink cartridges? 2008-06-01
Canon has made it almost impossible to use recycled ink cartridges. They are not alone. There should be a more economical and environmentally friendly alternative available for purchasing ink - not just the limited options imposed by a monopoly held by the manufacturer. Just think if you buy a car and could then only buy gasoline from the car manufacturer!

Excelent 2008-05-02
The canon printer I have is the best out of all the printers I even owned in my life, and this Ink is perfect with it and it lasts about 5 months with more than 5 pages worth of printing weekly. I know it is expensive, but it is the best out in the market.

Good 2008-03-26
There's nothing to complain about the genuine ink cartridge. You could refill it with the refill ink, just do it before the genuine ink exhausts.

Runs out FAST 2008-02-24
I can spend $100 on a new cartridge for my NEC laser printer, and get 2 years use out of it. OR, I can spend $25 on THIS cartridge for my Canon printer, and get two WEEKS out of it. Do the math. Canon ought to be ashamed of offering a product with so little actual output per dollar. Generally I LIKE Canon products a lot (e.g. their cameras) and so I am shocked at the short life of this cartridge.

BEWARE!!! This must be a wrong price. 2008-01-02
There is definately something wrong here. The price of 83.08 has got to be wrong. They also have a twin pack of the PG-40 for 34.98. This price is more than the printers it goes in.
