Does exactly what it needs to do! 2008-06-30
Works perfectly at holding your iPod securely while driving. The cutout at the bottom makes it easy to charge your iPod while you're using it. It also adjusts up and down for better viewing.

Cool Accessory...Works with 6th Gen Ipods 2008-05-18
Because of a previous review with misinformation, i thought i should clarify that this does infact fit the 6th gen ipod. I'm using the 80gb model and the dimensions accomodate it perfectly. Of course as others mentioned, it won't fit with a case, but my particular case is easily removable, so its not a big deal. Its definitely nice to have a good place to rest the ipod now instead of just lieing whereever, and the tunedok keeps a firm grip on your ipod, so you can change tracks or whatever with one finger and it won't move in place.

Great idea but seldom used 2008-04-02
I use this together with a Monster power adapter, and the cable mass coming out of the bottom of the holder is a little convoluted. The combination of the two occupy both of the cupholders, leaving me with nowhere to place my beverages, which is a bigger issue for me than having a pretty place to put my iPod.

It's simply not feasible to have an iPod mounted at "lap level" and off to the right. It's an OK place for a cup holder, since all you have to do is reach for your beverage and there it is, but working with a device with an interface and controls in that location takes my eyes too far from the road to be done safely. I find that I lift the iPod out of the cup holder to make adjustments, rather than using it "hands free" where it's mounted.

This is a great idea in concept, however I find that I really don't use this product at all. It's easier to plug the iPod in and toss it in the center console.

If you're looking for a "hands free" solution, I would suggest something that mounts on the dashboard in the driver's field of vision in a way that does not obstruct the windshield in any way, preferably between the radio and the instrument cluster.

Good, but would be better with collection of mounts 2008-03-05
I have both the iPod and iPod Nano version of this product they work quite well; Belkin also offers iPod mini and XM receiver versions. However, these products would be even better if Belkin offered a universal version of this product which had one set of cup-holder inserts and all four of the different mounts. This would be an environmentally friendly offering as you only need one set cup-holder inserts.

Great Addition 2008-02-15
This was an impulse purchase but a great addition. I use it not only in my car but it also fits nicely in the cup holder on my elliptical exerciser.

Easy fitting Ipod holder 2008-02-08

Simple. And it works. 2007-12-01
Everyone's car layout is different of course, but after doing an exhaustive search for a simple iPod dock -- I ruled out the FM transmitter -- I decided on the Belkin TuneDok for my 2007 Camry. I just wanted something to hold my iPod securely, that allowed enough adjustability to position the device at the most convenient angle. The TuneDok is almost perfect. While my Camry's cup holder adjusts to different size beverages anyway, Belkin supplies different size bases to fit most cup holders, I imagine. There's even a foam band that you can slip around the base for extra large cup holders. The TuneDok is plastic and is perfectly sized where my 4th gen iPod slips in without fear of scratching. I was skeptical about whether the suction cup would hold my iPod in place, but it does. And it releases easily with one hand - just nudge the suction cup tab with the tip of your finger.

The TuneDok angle adjusts, which is helpful if you need to attach a charger cable through the bottom opening of the holder. Being made of plastic, I don't know how durable the thing is, but I don't see a problem unless you're constantly messing with the angle. My only wish: With all the options Belkin supplies for the base size, it would have been nice if the screw-in post could come in a couple lengths or if it was longer; OR if there was a way to make the holder sit higher up. I see why you might want the holder to be more low profile so it doesn't interfere with the shift lever, but I'd appreciate having the iPod slightly higher.

Satisfied all the way !!! 2007-11-16
It fits the car and the Ipod correctly, you have multiple choices with this item concerning the fitting capacilities. I drive a hyundai and I satisfied (I think that cup holders are generally standard sizes or may differ for millimiters).

Now, where do I put my cup??? 2007-10-20
I got this for my boyfriend for his birthday along with an iPod Touch. I wasn't sure if it would fit the Touch properly, but it does. My iPhone fits in it nicely as well.

When you think about it, well placed cupholders really are in prime real estate in your car, so it makes them the perfect place to put most anything. It's a great place to put the Touch to then hook it up to play through the radio...pretty easy to read the screen and it fits very firmly in the cupholder so you can manipulate the screen. The only thing is...I really miss having a place to put my cup!

Easy to use, clean and and clutterfree appearance 2007-10-19
The Belkin TuneDok is sleek, easy to use and access, and is practical for what it does, hold your iPod. However, I bought this for my 80GB 6th generation iPod Classic and the sides and bottom are too wide for it. It fits snug, doesn't move at all and is still permits easy access, but it's not the greatest fit in that the sides are higher than your slim iPod Classic.
