Performs Well

For the price, this printer performs fine and has done so for the last month. I would not recommend purchasing it online, because shipping cost more than the item itself. Also, you'll need to purchase a USB cable and black ink cartridge seperately. Do yourself a favor, go down to Best Buy and pick up a printer that comes with everything.
Couldn't ask for more

I bought this printer almost 2 years ago and it's just now needing to be replaced. I print A LOT, but don't need high quality stuff (like pictures, I send those off to be processed), so this was perfect for me. Mailing labels (everything from eBay stuff to shipping labels), pdf's, word docs, etc. all came out fine. If you choose "quick print", it saves quite a bit of ink. It was easy to set up, both the hardware and software. I was able to refill the included ink carts. with ink I got from the dollar store, so I only bought 1 set of ink carts. the entire time I owned it. Can't go wrong for the price.
So far so good

I was able to assemble and get the printer going in no time. The print quality is good, and the "print fast" setting works reasonably quickly, and also saves ink. The best price-value combination I could find. Not expensive, and does not compromise on functionality and quality for being that cheap. I would recommend this printer to a friend, after having used it for a month. So far so good. If I encounter any problems, I will update this comment.

This printer came free with my Dell PC. However, the printer is very low quality. I was able to use it occasionally for a few months but once I ran out of cartridge, I could not buy the refill from Office Max or any other place. The only way you can obtain it is by mailorder (cartridge actually costs as much as this printer!!)which can take up to a week. Well, I did not have a week since the paper had to be printed out and submitted the following day. After a while, this printer started screwing up, the paper would get easily jammed or it didn't print straight. I got so frustrated that I repeatedly pounded on this thing with my fist. That did it. It was no longer working and went straight to the thrash can. My advice: Get a better quality printer that's reliable.
Not for me

I purchased this printer based on all the wonderful reviews it had received but without doing any research of my own. That proved to be a mistake. I had previously owned a fabulous Z55 Lexmark printer, but couldn't find a replacement in that series. It was crystal clear, vibrant colors, and so fast I couldn't believe it! This one is a good printer, but it's painfully slow. The price is under $30 after all, and that should have been a clue to me, so it's my mistake. But since it's not worth returning because postage would be more than I spent on the printer, I am giving it away and buying a different one. That's not Lexmark's fault, but I wanted to mention the problem, in case someone else out there needs a faster printer than this one.
Good deal for the price

Very good printer for $24

This is a great printer for basic printing needs and the ink cartridges are quite inexpensive compared to other brands.
Great printer, but...

I bought this printer simply because it was the only one I could afford without months of saving up. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but I have to say I am continually amazed by its print quality. The results on photo paper are especially incredible - you'd probably never convince anyone that they were done with a $30 printer. The printer itself is small and light and installs quite easily in windows. With a little effort, I was even able to install mine in linux (lexmark printers are usually problematic in linux because the company doesn't provide linux drivers for all of their printers.) All in all, I really like this printer a lot, all except for one thing: the ink cartridges.
The cartridge that comes with the printer is a moderate yield color cartridge. It doesn't last half as long as a regular cartridge does. I think mine lasted two months at most with average use, though you might get a little longer life out of it if you print at lower than normal quality and/or print no pictures whatsoever. The regular color and black cartridge replacements actually cost more (about $35 and $32) than the printer does and the moderate yield cartridges are not much cheaper (about $20,) especially when you consider they don't last half as long. I can't help but think that when I bought this printer, what was I actually paying for? The printer or the half-full cartridge that came with it?
In any case, it's something to take into consideration before you buy this printer, because believe me, it's very annoying to have to pay $35 for an ink cartridge that runs on a $30 printer.
Great Printer for the Money

I bought this printer because it uses the print cartiages 16/17 or 26/27. I have another Lexmark, a X75 that uses those cartiages and has great output, so I wanted something that I felt confident in, so I bought the Z611.
I use this printer on a limited basis at my work station.
It has performed well, as I expected. I only have printed on regular printer paper, I have not printed any photos with this printer.
Lexmark is finally getting it

From the reviews here the lack of USB cable is the biggest beef; I've been buying USB printers for years and have a drawer-FULL of USB cables and am glad to NOT have to pay Lexmark to include yet another one.
Another benefit is the lower-than-average cost of the cartridge; once the included one is used up, the replacement is 50% less than typical cartridges.
Simple, basic printer for the kids/household use.
