less than expected from Amazon

The machine arrived in a timely manner however, it appeared to be a returned item as the packaging was damaged and had lots of tape on it. The pieces were thrown in the box. The display mount was bent but not enough to warrent the hassle of a return. The overall machine function is fair, the display operation is not well thought out(no on/off). All in all, having dealt with Amazon for a number of years, I really expected more.

Hard Seat But Easy to Use

The assembly instructions worked for my husband and he had all the parts/tools that he needed in the package and the parts were in good shape when they arrived. I found this rowing machine easy to use. I had never used one before. I usually use an elliptical machine, but wanted something to work on my "batwings" and "back bags". My first work out was lite - only 15 minutes. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the seat chapped my butt crack. I can laugh now, but at the time I discovered the blood, I thought that I was having a severe health issue. When I discovered what had happened and the cause, I began shopping around for a seat pad. I see that other people have had the seat discomfort issue and have resorted to some sort of padding. This is something to consider when purchasing this rowing machine. Overall, I think this machine is a good value for the money.

Great Starter Machine

I purchased this machine becasue of the price and the ratings. I have to say, that for a beginner, this was a great purchase. It was very easy to assemble and it is very easy to use. If you work out a lot, I would say buy a better row machine, but for a beginner this works great for the price.

I really like what the machine offers, but the parts are cheap especially the pedals and the seat squeaks to high heaven.

I know in the near future, I will have to upgrade. So, if you are a beginner like me this product is okay, but if you are an experienced rower then you need to step it up and spend a little more for a better machine.

just what i was looking for

i ordered the stamina bodytrack hoping that it would be a good choice and help supliment my exercise program. i ride a bicycle three too five times a week but felt that i wasn't getting a good upper body workout. i am very pleased with the bodytrack and have moved up to a thirty minute session, and the computer is very helpfuln in tracking my progress. thank you amazon.com

Worst rowing machine I've ever rowed on.

This items does not show speed or distance. All I have to say if you are a rower don't buy this machine, you will be very disappointed.

Love my Body Trac!

I've used my Body Trac for several weeks, and love it! It's smooth, and very quiet. I can pass the time watching TV, or listening to the radio, without turning the volume all the way up.

The only problem I have is that sometimes my feet slip out of the straps. I have small feet, so that's not a surprise. I pull the strap tight, and secure the velcro at a 45 degree slant. That's helped quite a bit.

Pleasantly surprised

The BodyTrac Glider arrived quickly and assembled easily as the main parts were factory assembled. The aluminum parts are heavy and well finished and the unit is light enough for an 81 year old man to pick up and store against the wall. It is as quiet as a little mouse and as smooth as smooth can be. It is almost like rowing the real thing on the water and far superior to those units that have two straight arms and not a bit like the real thing. People that can't pick the unit up to move will find that it doesn't drag well on carpets, although it can be done. I find no fault in the glider and am using it set on the lowest setting and doubt if I'll ever be able to use the highest number on the hydraulic piston, which offers a great amount of resistance. It is the best exerciser I have ever owned for ease of folding up. It takes less than a minuet to fold the arms back and screw in the two retaining nobs. IT LOOKS GREAT, GREAT QUALITY AND ABOUT AS CLOSE TO THE REAL ROWING MACHINE AS YOU CAN GET.
