MS Streets and Trips

Fast. Accurate maps. Minor inacuracy in location of addresses.
I use this instead of any online map for ALL map information.
Once loaded, the mapping software runs without Data CD.
Good Canadian maps.
Annoying update bar on Directions panel doesn't go away after construction updates are performed.
A good buy. Recommended.
Streets & Maps Review

This was an upgrade for us. This map is used on a daily basis and is very informative for our dispatcher. Our drivers can call in and we can pinpoint where they are and help them locate the address they are looking for. This program saves us time because we just type in the address and we can get a good view of the streets in the area. We used to use the books and that took a long time to look up the street, then find the page etc. We are very happy with this product.

This is a great tool, I do alot of travel and it helps me a great deal, could not do without it.
Nothing Much New in Functionality

As one who upgraded from MS Streets and Trips 2002, I expected to see more functionality. Like 2002 it was also usable on PDA/Cell phone devices. Microsoft drives to you upgrade the product because they stop all support of the earlier versions, which means the database gets out of date. However, if you have never used this product it is the best of its kind. MS Streets and Trips is compatible with several GPS transponders. In my case not a factor in my business yet.
Over the Road 2006-12-28
As a long-haul truck driver, I've found MS Streets & Trips to be extremely
helpful. Guides me directly to pick-ups and deliveries across the country. I run it on my laptop in conjunction with my Magellan GPS unit and I know exactly where I am at any given time. I've used it for two months now and it runs flawlessly. Very pleased with this program.
I bought this just for the GPS 2007-10-06
The USB GPS unit works great. It also works in Microsoft MapPoint (NA and European versions). The 2006 version of S&T now provides voice guidance which lets you set up your laptop in the front seat before your trip, pop the GPS in the front window and let it give you guidance hands free while driving.
Aggravating 2007-06-07
Save your money and buy the Garmin Nuvi 350. MSST 2007 has managed to let me dwon, again. or rather it is MS. My BIGGEST complaint among many (and I will spare everyone)is the inability to take my planning as I set it up in route planning. It overrides my coices I add and reroutes me. VERY aggravating as the direction they give me is NOT the correct way! Another complaint is why should everyone have to buy a new version EVERY year. We should have the ability for a small fee to obtain updates, product maintenance and ACCURATE directions. My neighborhood isn't even on the map yet and we have been here 3 years!

Great for finding anything. Where the others are wrong, this is right on.
Lacking 2007-03-07
Needs full screen mode, especially for those of us who have smaller displays... This is fixed in 2007 edition, so I recommend getting that one rather than this one... Other than that, this product is awesome... Easy to use, and works great with the GPS receiver that comes with it (optional)...
how do they do it ? 2007-01-12
having the whole country right at my finger tips has been really usefull. very east to install right on your hard drive. i use it often. again how do they get all those roads on that little disc.
