Great price; no comfort

This worked for my father, but not as well as we had hoped. The picture is misleading. There is no toilet "seat" on the actual commode. The lid is down in the picture. Once the lid is lifted, the seat (which is the bucket) has all these edges that my father said was painful and uncomfortable to sit on. At that point, however, we had no choice but to keep it. It worked as a short-term solution (as we needed it only for a for a limited time), but for long-term use, consumers should search for a more comfortable option.

The item, itself, from Lifestyles Mobility, Florida, rates a true 5. However, the item was shipped from a northeastern distributor or warehouse, and came with missing parts,-- totally unusable. I phoned the company's home office about our dilemma.
Had the home office in Florida not taken quick, corrective action, I would have given the item a very poor rating. To the credit of Lifestyles Mobility home office, the missing parts were immediately expedited to us at their cost. Lifestyle Mobility proved to be a very reputable company.
Utility wins out! 2007-04-12
After a second order for the same item, I can say that this is a very sturdy commode. It was easy to assemble and should last a long time. Thank-you for the follow-ups and great service.
Aluminum Commode Chair

This was purchased for my mother in law. We especially like it because of the aluminum construction. This allows us to also use it as a shower chair as she needs the arms to hold on to while getting in and out of the shower. Could use a little more height adjustment on the legs for a taller person. Otherwise very good all around.
Bed Side Commode 2007-02-12
Double knee replacement made this product necessary. Much better than expected. Nice looking, very storng.
