Questionable design and quality

I agree with the first review, this scale is poorly balanced. I am not a heavy weight nor a non-coordinated person, but on too many occasions, when mounting this scale it tipped to whichever side I stood on first. Also the plastic covering the control buttons felt very thin as if it would tear or wear through after a time not too distant in the future. The metal, probably a thin sheet of stainless steel that one stands on stained very easily, even though I always wiped my feet before standing on it. This same metal felt as if it were too thin and a demo model at the local store had many small dents in it. I am not sure about the accuracy, I had nothing to compare it to, but it seemed to be consistent. After a couple of uses I had to pull out the batteries because it froze, like when a computer crashes. One nice thing is that the batteries are size AA and not a specialized type that would be difficult to find at some point after it is no longer on the market. Some brands have odd sized lithium batteries and promote the longevity of lithium batteries. Lithium batteries do last longer, but not forever as a sales person indicated, besides, one can purchase AA Lithium batteries. I liked the scale, but I returned it because I felt it would not last long.
I paid $100 for this?

While I do like the functions on this scale, I have couple serious issues with it. First, the (4) wiegh pads in which the scale rests are a bit too centered. If you do not stand on it *just* right the scale will tip and considering the construction, has the potential for devastating results. I have lost balance trying to step on this scale several times in the last month. My second issue come with the accuracy of the scale. Over the 30 days I have had this scale, the accuracy has gone from .2-.4 pounds over 3 consecutive weighings to 4.0-5.0 pounds over 3 consecutive (and more) weighings. This may, of course, be due to the previously mentioned balance issue which caused the pads to slam against the ground when regaining balance. Overall, it would have been nice if the (4) weight sensors would have been aligned with where your feet should be placed on the scale, thus eliminating what I perceive to be the root problem with this scale. My final issue come fromt he body composition, it is not entirely accurate, but this can be said about alot of body composition scales. The bone mass, body fat, water percentage, and calorie intake meters fluxuate irradically from weigh in to weigh in. While a beautiful scale with alot of potential, I would recommend spending $100 somewhere else.
