Editorial Review
The iPod nano dock enables quick connectivity to a desktop computer like all iPod Docks even without an easily accessible USB 2.0 port. Just place the iPod nano in the dock, without needing to reach being the computer to plug it in, and it's ready to synchronize with iTunes and charge its battery at the same time. Plug a stereo mini cable to its line-out port and enjoy clean, direct connection to any stereo, home audio system or powered speakers.

Works Great 2007-02-20
I got this dock for my first generation Ipod Nano. It is a simple device but makes charging and loading media onto my Ipod much easier. I haven't had any problems or troubles with it.

It was free after rebate 2007-02-19
Though I did have to pay sales tax because I live in Washington, but it's been rather cool. I've been using my iPod Gen 3 dock with my iPod Nano, but it's not really a good fit. This one is tinier and fits well.

I do have 1 complaint and that is the fact they need to make this heavier so when I try to pull my Nano out of the dock, I don't have to hod the dock down.

Thanks for nothing Apple 2007-01-31
I should have know that Apple will try to nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING! They must think that if they are locking you into a single computer for iTunes, that you won't need to carry the cable around that they give you with the iPod. I can't believe that they charge $30 for a base and then want you to spend another $20-$30 for another cable to carry around. I won't be buying ANY accessories from Apple again. I will be supporting other vendors's products. Why not throw in a $2 cable & charge $35 for the package. Think of all the ill will that is generated by the surprise need to go out and get a cable. I do hate the evil empire of MS but Apple is becoming just as evil. The only difference is Apple has the "cool" factor going for it. Don't buy this product. Buy something similar from an outside vendor that throws in a cable - probably at a cheaper price.

Perfect answer! 2007-01-19
I tried hooking up my iPod Nano to the home theater system and had to crank up the volume WAY up both on the iPod and the HT system to get desired levels of sound. With this dock, the sound is back! Color-matched with the iPod, this is a recommended accessory for all who want to listen to their iPod songs on a bigger sound system.

My alternatives were - buy a Bose Soundock ($299) for direct usage or a Bose iPod Dock ($129) to use the way I am using it now - via the Apple iPod dock! A third alternative - which I have used in the past - is to use Altec Lansing inMotion desktop speakers, which are pretty good, but can't compete with bigger sounding HT.

Can't go wrong with a $15 price tag on this (and a $15 MIR when it appears) :-)

IPod Nano Dock 2007-01-10

con: limit to 1st gen ipod only

Not Necessary component 2008-05-28
This is just not needed for your Ipod...there are so many other great docking items out there such as speakers, alarm clocks etc we have never used it! It was a waste of money!

Good Product, I like this, Its very useful.

Essential Accessory 2007-03-18
The ipod nano looked sad on the desk until I got the dock, and now it is displayed proudly, like the beautiful piece of industrial design that it is.

Buyer be aware. 2007-02-20
This dock comes with NO cords so you have to purchase yet another accessory for it to be of any practical use.
BOO Apple for following in the footsteps of Microsoft!
