WOW, thats all I can say!!!!

The Motorola T820 headset has honestly blown me away! The headset has great sound in true stereo (make sure your device is A2DP compliant before you whine about crappy sound) and is complimented by deep bass and excellent sounding treble. The headset was a cinch to pair with ALL of my devices that I have tried pairing which includes my Verizon XV6700 phone, my Dell 9700 laptop, my desktop computer with an AZIO USB bluetooth stick, and my PS3. ALL devices paired flawlessly and work well with the device correctly the first time with NO need to fix any problems. This has by far been one of the best purchases I have made as far as headphones are concerned because the BT headset does everything that it says it will do correctly the first time. I mostly keep the headset paired with my Desktop computer because I work late at night and when I use my computer I like to turn up the volume but will move about my home office. I didn't want to disturb my wife as she slept so I invested in these headphones. One advantage I have found to this set is that I can have it paired to my computer AND it will still maintain pairing to my Verizon XV6700 phone, which is a great advantage to me because if I am cranking out a homework assignment and get a call, I may not hear it right away. With this headset it will pause my music and let me know the number of the caller and who it is if I have that information available. The battery life is about 15 hours of use that I have seen (listening to music) and standby time is ridiculous. This headset even controls Microsoft Windows Media Player natively from the headset without any need for configuration. The headset comes with a nice carrying bag a charging cable, a USB cable, and even a regular "male to male" headphone cord for when the batteries are depleted. This is definitely a great choice for anyone looking for a decent pair of headphones on the Bluetooth platform.
Had to Return the headset because of incompatibility issues

I should have known this...well made the mistake of buying it for the iPhone thinking if not A2DP compatible...atleast would come along with a transmitter to make the devices compatible. I was wrong. Anyways since couldn't test it, so don't know about its working capabilities...
Worth buying at $30-$40

Just got these this past weekend. The headphones are made well, and pretty comfortable. They paired up with my blackberry 8320 curve in a matter of seconds after the initial 2 hour charge of the headphones.
The sound quality on music and calls is acceptable but not exceptional. The bluetooth does not transmit signal with 0 distortion. there is an underlying distortion (barely noticeable) when playing music even at a low volume.
People understand me on phone calls but it is apparent to the other person that i am using some sort of device by the "boominess" of the call.
I would not have kept these if they were still priced at the $80 - $100 they originally hit the martket at, but for $40, i'll hold on to them.
If you are very picky about sound quality, and are looking for high performance, look elsewhere.
Works with LG VX10000 Voyager

They do hurt the top of my left ear after a while of use. Otherwise they are rather comfortable. The sound quality far exceeded my expectations. If you can live with the "Princess Leia" earmuffs look, then these are for you.
It was between this and the S9, the 30$ difference in price wasn't a problem for me. It was just that the S9 had received so many negative reviews regarding workmanship of the product itself. Lots of faulty S9's that needed returning, and I just wasn't into dealing with that. Plus the in-ear style of head buds has never sat well with me. I like the over the ear style better.
TIP: hold FWD > & REV < buttons at the same time to turn off the blue lights that come on and off at random. I see people ragging on these almost exclusively because of this, its an option that can be turned off/on.
Amazing Sound Quality, without the wires!

This headset delivers amazing sound quality that would not be expected of a bluetooth connection. As mentioned before, you do need to have a phone that supports the stereo bluetooth profile, otherwise it won't sound good. I use it with my Samsung SCH-u900 and it is incredible: the bass is good, sometimes a little muddy but hardly noticeable, and the highs are crisp. I'm hearing songs that I've listened to countless times on a fairly decent system in a whole different way. When the volume is maxed out it becomes a little tinny, but there's none of the distortion you'd usually associate with a pair of headphones.
The controls located on the device are also effective and easy to use. It is possible to start your music playing, place a call, or do many other things without ever touching your phone.
The only downside to these headphones are that they are heavy and uncomfortable. All of the weight really presses down against your ears where the headband rests to keep the set steady. Over time it is possible to get used to, but for the first few times it's almost unbearable. The weight and close fitting band also causes the set to rub against your neck with the slightest movement, so when listening to quiet music it gets a little obnoxious.
So, if you can withstand some discomfort for a great sounding, super cheap bluetooth headset, I would definitely recommend this.
Decent sound, comfortable, easy to use

I bought the HT820 stereo headset so I could start using my T-Mobile Wing as a music player. I've been watching bluetooth stereo headsets for the past year, and when this one dropped to $35 I jumped on it. Good choice.
Setup was dead simple. Charge it (3 hours), turn on bluetooth on your device, then press-hold the left button on the headset for 6 seconds. Then pair the headset with your device (passcode 0000, as usual). The headset has blue leds that flash every couple seconds. You can disable this by holding the forward/reverse buttons down together for about 6 seconds. The flashing will not resume, even after power off, until you repeat the process. I recommend this so as not to look like a complete dork while you're wearing the headset.
To answer the phone while the headset is on you just tap the left button. You can skip forward/backward through your music playlist with small buttons on the right side, and you can play/pause using the large button on the right side. It's all very easy and convenient.
Motorola claims 10 hours on a charge. That has been about right - I haven't completely discharged mine, but I started to notice a few cut-outs after 8 or 9 hours.
The signal is clear. I carry my phone in my front shirt pocket, so signal distance is not very far. I have noticed some cutouts if I turn my head all the way to the right - the bluetooth receiver must be in the right-side.
Sound quality is pretty good, and volume range is very acceptable. I do have to turn output volume in Windows Media player to about 85-90%, but at that level I'm able to get the headset volume to adequate levels even in relatively noisy environments.
Though this is not an issue with the headset, I can tell you that battery usage on the T-Mobile Wing is greatly impaired when bluetooth + Windows Media Player are on. You can practically watch the battery meter go to zero. 6 hours max. Fortunately, the phone charges via USB, so I just plug it into my laptop while I'm working.
Anyway - I would recommend this as a convenient, comfortable, and good sounding stereo headset for portable use.
Great headset

I'm using this headset with a T-Mobile Wing that also works as my MP3 player. Also using it for my laptop and home PC. Great sound and so far has been very dependable. The only issue I had was with connecting to my laptop, after a quick update from Dell the headset has worked great. Use it all day at work.
For it's intended use, good but...

When I got this product in the mail, when I took it out, the very first thing I noticed was how enormous the headphones were. I didn't realize this when I ordered them because the photos always show these earphones at a certain angle. The reason why I bought these was to have a wireless solution to listening to music on the street and on the subway here in New York. If I were to grade this based on the use of this product, then I would give this product 4 stars. It worked well with my phone.
However, being a shallow New Yorker, I was too self-conscious to wear these out in public because they're so large. There is at least an inch of headphone that juts out of your ear. Not only that, it's tagged with a huge Motorola M logo on it. So for those who don't mind having huge headphones jutting out of your ear, you can get these earphones. As for me, I got rid of these after one use.
Almost perfect, Causes Mac to go into Kernel Panic
2008-07-21
I would give it 5 if my computer will stop crashing, I am not sure who's at fault my computer software or the device.
Pros:
Sound quality is impressive, no difference between my set of full headphones and the HT-820.
Easy set-up with a Macbook 10.5.3
Battery life (at least 6 hours...)
Comfortable to wear for long periods of time (4+ hours).
Price (under $40).
CON:
After using the headphones for about 6 hours I got a kernel panic, rebooted repair permissions, updated to 10.5.4 and 10 minutes later another one.
Four Kernel Panics total in 2 days. First time ever (16 months) I have suffered a kernel panic in this computer.
I am back to my old wired headphones until I can find a fix and will update the review.
Decent Sound, really uncomfortable
2008-07-17
Just as others here have said, these headphones are really uncomfortable. I wear these sometime at work to drown out the office while I work, but I can't keep them on for very long because they get very warm on my head and they press my ears down to the point that it gets painful. I also feel ridiculous when I wear them because they look odd... to say the least.
On a good note, battery life is pretty good, and while I'm not an audiophile, the sound compares well with my Bose TriPort In-Ear Headphones.
