- Sliding Surface - Specially formulated sliding surface designed to give smooth positive slide.
- Ramps - The heavy rubber ramps stabilize the end stops and prevent movement of the slide board across the floor. The angle of the ramps provide for the correct positioning of the foot at take off and finish of each stride.
- Booties - The nylon booties work with the slide surface to achieve smooth slides. The coating on the inside of the booties and the elastic trim around the opening help keep the booties snug against the wearer's shoes.
- Pouch - The carrying case makes it easier to transport the slide board, ramps and the booties. The carrying case has a heavy duty strap and a lace closure at the opening.

Great workout - fun

I'm a former athlete that has fallen out of shape over the past twenty years. I decided to try a slide since my knees are not good and I can't run for a workout without hurting myself and missing long periods to recover. The slide is great for the knees (used in rehab) and is an intense workout. Start slow and build up and you will notice a difference quickly. I can't skate but could do the powerslide within a few minutes. It is fun but intense and I'm loving the feeling of working my legs now while knowing my knees are staying in good shape.

I returned this product after 3 weeks and, like the previous buyer, I was charged about $50.00 too. The quality is not worth it. The slide does not stay on the ground properly. It is rolled when you receive it and for some reason I could never unroll it so that it remained flat. There was a permanent curl at the end and it would end up rolling at each end automatically! This was dangerous because I nearly fell several times trying to slide and the curved ends were not secure. The company should put the rubber backing on the entire product not just the end. Anyway, save your time and money and research other products because you will be charged for shipping and restocking too...if returned.

It takes a while to get the technique down, but this is a nice product. I thought I would use it as an aerobic workout, but I think you really have to use it more for "interval" training - something like one minute (or less) of striding followed by one minute of rest.
Stay in the crouch position with your head up or you may have a spill!
Item comes in a carrying bag, and it is surprisingly light and portable - easy to set up.

I just received my Powerslide and had a chance to test it out. It was easy to assemble and took no time at all. I must say it was great fun, and a good low impact cardio workout. The 8 ft slide was plenty long, and I am glad I did not get the 10 ft. one. I do suggest to use Pledge to make the surface more slippery for better movement.
This slide is not for beginners. I have been a skater since childhood so I picked up on it pretty quick. I could imagine this being dangerous for those with less experience or coordination. Also, for those with lower back stiffness, don't lean too far forward because it can put some pressure on your lower back.
Overall, I feel this equipment was worth the price and a more thrilling option for a cardio workout. I have to admit, at one point I felt like a kid again.
Great job to Athletic Innovations, Inc., who shipped my order the same day I placed it, and had it at my door the next day!
Fun great workout 2007-12-05
This is a fun and great workout for those who want to increase lateral movement as well as balance and stability. At times it seems as if the glide isnt that great but for the most part its a great piece of exercise equiptment.
