wobbly mount 2008-05-02
Pros: Good suction, plenty of options (window, dash (via sticker + suction), and air vent), pretty good construction

Cons: phone wobbles while in mount, too short, suction too big at 3" (hard to find a spot to mount it), too bulky (eg, really impedes if on windshield), expensive

My excitement waned pretty quickly when I figured out that it would be really difficult to find a place to attach the mount. Options are very limited b/c it's a little too bulky.

The phone holder does not attach very tightly to the suction or vent mount so it's constantly wobbling. The vent mount is supposed to be convenient, but really sticks out too far from the vent (maybe 2"). It's also very unstable and actually fell off the vent a couple of times.

The device clasp doesn't grab as tight as I'd like. It really needs to have more "steps" where it catches.

I was really hoping this would work out, but I think the better option is just a $5 clasp from walmart and some velcro tape on the back. This will have a lot more options on placement and be *much* more stable.

No Complaints, would buy another 2008-04-29
I've had this for a couple months or so and I have nothing bad to say. It's worked great. I use it for a Sprint Mogul but it would fit an AT&T Tilt or any other similar PPC device. The suction cup is extremely strong and easy to attach. Adjusting the device is easy to get rid of glare, and it stays where you put it. The phone has never fallen out and is easy to secure and release.

I have only used the windshield suction cup so I can't say much about the other attachment options. It came with pieces for vent attachment and a plate to stick on your dash if needed.

I would definitely buy another one if needed. I feel like it's a good value for the price.

Easy, Praticable, I recommend for all!!! 2008-04-16
This product is perfect for all PDA's, very easy to fix in your car! I recommend!!

arkon cm910 pda mount 2008-03-30
Works great on my sprint mogul. I use it on two cars:
-Susuki swift: I use the vent mount kit. This car uses vertical vents, but the clips rotate so I was a able to mount it and it works great. You do loose the ability to control the vents because the kit is in the way. I was skeptical of the grip system, but it does hold the phone very well. Use it almost every day to listen to music and use the GPS.

-Mazda 6: The vent mount kit will not work on this car. I use the gooseneck. It has a very good windshield grip. A word of warning, it vibrates a lot. If you are planning to mount so that the PDA is next to the rearview mirror, don't get an adjustable gooseneck, get the one that is fixed (non adjustable). I personally didn't like the phone that high anyway, so I put it lower in the windshield and rested the gooseneck on top of the dashboard for added support, this eliminates almost all of the vibration (the actual holder has another spring loaded mechanism that vibrates, but is very minimal and not distracting).

The holder rotates so that you can set your display in portrait or landscape mode. Overall I recommend this holder and is adjustable for many types of phones. Check Arkon's website for recommendations.

Good product in theory, but beware of plastic parts 2008-03-02
I purchased this product, but had to exchange it because the part to tighten the item in place was made of plastic and smushed apart when tighted to the end. The problem happened after the 30 day return so I had no alternative, but to exchange instead of return for credit. I'm cautious with the new one and don't tighten to the end. Great design in theory, but they need to use stronger materials to prevent this from happening again.

Great Product 2008-02-20
The Window mount worked great absolutely no problems there. The vent mount always slides for me but not a problem because the window mount attaches firmly and does not move

Works great... sometimes... 2008-01-30
I purchased this product because it was the highest rated universal PDA mount I could find to mount my HTC Kaiser. It is of much higher quality than the $5 mount I originally purchased on eB*y, but when winter came around here in NY the eB*y mount's suction cup wouldn't stick to the windshield anymore after the plastic became cold/stiff.

However on initial trials with this Arkon mount it would eventually fall off overnight and when I return to my car the next day I would find it on the floor.

To overcome the periodical falling I just tried pulling it off after reapplying it to the windshield. A few times it came off with just a little tug, but after about 5 minutes of sticking it to the windshield and pulling a bit to simulate loss of suction it finally had a good hold. Since then it hasn't come off the windshield on its own.

The Good:
-It's ability to rotate to whichever orientation/angle you desire, so I can use my Tomtom application in widescreen (horizontal position) or just have the time displaying on my phone in a vertical position while driving.
-The material it is made from is of higher quality than the ebay mount

The Bad:
-It takes a while to get a good strong suction to the windshield

Perfect for my Nokia N810 Internet Tablet 2007-12-08
This Arkon mount is versatile and works with multiple devices - thats the best part.
I recently bought a Nokia N810 with GPS and needed a car mount for that (preferably Windscreen mount) and the Arkon fit the bill.

The Device mount is adjustable to potrait or landscape mode and the width is adjustable for various width holds with a nice ruber grip on the sides so that the devices dont get scratched and hold well too (non-slip).

The Car mounts come in two formats - 1 a windscreen mount - very robust and strong gooseneck and easy and good suction mount and the other a Air vent mount - just slip on the air vent clips and click it goes into the vents.

Overall a very very nice combination fo device and car mount together.
I dont use the iincluded Nokia device mount at all on my N810 now - the Arkhon is easy to move from car to car also.

Holds Palm Treo 650 nicely 2007-11-29
I bought two of these; one as a replacement for a Palm-supplied one that I left in a rental car in London. These are fairly heavy-duty considering the low cost. The plunger in the middle of the vacuum cup is metal, which is good since my baby daughter broke one with all-plastic construction by pulling it right off the windshield.

I haven't used the vent mount; only the suction cup and gooseneck. The gooseneck is quite short. The unit would vibrate if I didn't mount it at the left corner of the windshield, so the bottom of the mount rests on the dashboard. One nifty feature is a joint on the end of the gooseneck, which allows tilt/rotation for optimal viewing angle.
